Gentle Family Dentistry Center for Implants & Facial Aesthetics

I have been going to Gentle Family Dentistry for many years now. While the majority of my visits have been at the Allentown office, I have had several appointments at the Bethlehem office as well. My experiences with the dentists, hygienist’s and all the staff at both locations have been really great. I have several more appointments at the Bethlehem office coming up and I have every reason to believe that I will continue to receive the same great service. I can and do wholeheartedly recommend Gentle Family Dentistry to friends anyone looking for a recommendation.

I really love this place! I’ve been coming here for a long time, but this is actually my first time writing a review. The founder and the whole dental team are awesome — super nice and really good at what they do. Mathew does amazing work every time, and I always feel like I’m in good hands. Definitely recommend them for dental cleanings and other treatments — they take great care of you. The only small downside is the front office — they can be a bit grumpy sometimes 😅. But everyone else here makes up for it with their kindness and professionalism. Overall, this is a fantastic dental office that I truly trust. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

The team at Gentle Family Dentistry Center are night and day better than my prior dental office. The culture is upbeat and positive, while being professional and doing great work. The office manager is spectacular. She runs a tight ship. Highly recommended!

I did not even step foot inside this establishment and was met with snapping and rude customer service by the Manager Jenna over the phone. I had initially made an appointment and was given the following day which was good. However I received a call from Melissa (who is very nice btw) to tell me they couldn’t verify the insurance. I made some calls to the insurance company who explained to me why the dentist wasn’t able to verify the information, even though I do still have dental insurance and an active plan. There was a mishap with the insurance company so I completely get why the dentist office would charge me out of pocket as they couldn’t verify. The insurance representative called me back and told me she spoke to Jenna and she was very rude and told the rep she was not comfortable with me coming to the office for my appointment. So I called the dentist to cancel this appointment since they were not comfortable with me going in (I was willing to pay out of pocket) they asked me why I was canceling and I told them because Jenna was not comfortable with me coming in today. They put Jenna on the phone and she explained why. She asked me if I wanted to cancel this appointment and like I said I was willing to pay out of pocket but wanted to call the insurance one more time. I asked Jenna if I could call back and give an answer and she gave me a nasty tone and attitude saying "well I can’t do that! My hygienist is coming in and your appointment is 90 mins long" I said ok go ahead and cancel then (as I don’t want to waste anyone’s time). She continues to say in her nasty tone "do you want me to delete your file as well?" 🤯 wow you already determined that you do not want me there as a client? So I told her the insurance rep told me you were nasty and I agree. Go ahead and delete that file, as I do not want your services any more and I don’t appreciate the customer service offered. She processed to ask me why and how she was rude, and I explained to her the nasty tone and attitude and her response was "well there’s been a lot of back and forth and calls today!" Oh so you just take it out on the customer because you’re overwhelmed? An unacceptable excuse! I was on the phone with the insurance company for 2hrs before I even called her and not once gave her nasty/rude tone or attitude. This is unacceptable service and Jenna needs to reevaluate her responses to customers when she becomes flustered.

Awfulllll!! Could not pay me to go back to this office. Do not let the nice shinny new office fool you this place is filled with inexperience from the front staff to the back. They were texting me but really meaning to text the patient prior to me which lead to my appointment being no showed because they moved the time thinking they were messaging the patient that was in the slot before me. FIASCO, finally when we got that fixed they took me back and refused to clean my teeth. Told me I needed a deep cleaning and told me I had a bunch of cavities. I knew this was wrong because I go to the dentist twice a year, this was just my first time at this dentistry. Got a second opinion and was told no cavities and my teeth were cleaned no deep clean and sedation required as they swore I needed. They want your money and will advise you that you need service that you actually don’t . Stay away from this shady dentist

My MIL had a terrible experience with the billing/front desk. Her appointment is Monday 01/26 and today 01/21 they called saying her copay is over $2,800. A month ago they said they were waiting on insurance, and after the New Year they told her a much lower amount. Now suddenly it’s $2,800 just days before her appointment. She asked for an itemized breakdown and the receptionist was rude and frustrated. She also asked about paying half and setting up payments for the rest, and nobody could give her an answer. Doctors are great, but the office staff and financial communication are extremely unprofessional.

My first time here and they were more interested in selling me services rather than cleaning my teeth. I tried this place since it was much closer to my house than my old dentist. But from the start I felt like they were just adding services instead of taking care of me. Took pictures of my teeth without telling me it was additional cost and I was told I needed deep cleaning. I took my bib off and walked out. Went to my old dentist and was told you're not close to needing a deep cleaning. Glad most of you had a good experience but as far as I'm concerned this place was worse than buying a car with all their people and offices trying to sell you stuff
