After receiving a filling from Dr. Kim, I was concerned that it might be loose or fall out. I initially reached out via email to report the issue and to inquire about the cost of a visit without insurance. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response, which forced me to call the front desk directly. Over the phone, I specifically asked about the cost of the visit if I did not have insurance. The front desk staff assured me that if it was for the same tooth, the checkup would be free. Based on this information, I proceeded with my appointment. During the visit, Dr. Kim examined the tooth, used floss to check for issues, and stated that she did not find any dislodgment of the filling. However, after the visiting, I received a bill for $114 for an exam fee. When I called to clarify, I reminded the front desk that I had confirmed the cost before my visit, and the front desk had assured me there would be no charge if it was the same tooth. To my disappointment, the front desk denied ever saying that. Very deceptive and tricky. But Dr Kim is very helpful and nice.

Dr. Kim and her assistant are good energy. Came here for a cleaning and to get some stains out after another dentist was going to charge $500+ for a "deep cleaning." Dr. Kim said she would just have to work "vigorously" to get them off but it turns out they came out pretty easily. Completely covered by my insurance too. First actively good dentist experience I can remember

Dr. Kim is the best. Her and her staff make dentist appointments fun! They explain everything clearly, are very kind, and make sure to be efficient with their time. I would especially recommend them to anyone who has anxiety about the dentist because they make you feel very comfortable.

Dr. Kim is the best and her staff is just amazing. Cutting edge equipment. Dr. Kim takes the time you need to explain what is going on in your mouth. And the chair gives you a gentle massage while Dr. Kim is working. Best dentist ever!!

Dr Mi Hyun Kim took over Dr Rbt Peri's practice when he retired. I had my second visit yesterday and want to recommend Dr Kim and her primary hygienist, Joan, to anyone looking for quality dental care!! Dr Kim recently remodeled the office with state of the art dental equipment including massage chairs for the patient during procedures. Dr Kim says they take most dental insurance. Call the office, and Julia , receptionist will let you know your options. I can't say enough about the confidence I have in the care I get at Dr Kim's Berkeley Dental Group. You will be in great hands!!!

Dr Kim has been our dentist since her predecessor, Robert Peri DDS, retired. We admire Dr Kim as much as we admired Dr Peri. Such wonderful care!

I’ve been coming to Dr Kim since she took over the practice here. She and her hygienists and staff are wonderful. It’s super clean, no frills and no pressure, just straightforward good dental work. I have started bringing my kids too.
