I saw Maarof today and Nicki on Monday at the Aloha office for deep cleanings on my upper right and left molars, and the experience was fantastic. Before these appointments, coming from another location, I had never been given real patient education about what could happen if I didn’t improve my oral hygiene in those areas - just told to "floss more." Both Nicki and Maarof did an amazing job - not only with the cleanings, but by patiently answering all my questions and providing thoughtful feedback, encouragement, and support. I truly feel like they both were advocating and rooting for me. I’m very appreciative and will definitely be returning to this location. Thank you very much!
I always am very nervous when needing to go to the dentist office (as I'm sure most people are), but coming into the Aloha Dental office is so calm, serene, and welcoming! The facility itself is beautiful and kept so neat and clean. The front desk staff are so sweet & welcoming and even offered me a stress ball, bottle of water, or warm blanket. Omar, the kind individual who did my X-rays was absolutely AMAZING. He instantly made me feel comfortable while we chatted about our favorite Halloween movies/vibes. Then came the cleaning, which is usually my most dreaded part, however, the absolute angel of a human named Susan (hygienist) came in and instantly made all the anxiety, fear, and worry I had melt away. She is so incredibly sweet, gentle, and constantly made me feel at ease. She was so mindful to talk to me through the whole process & constantly checked to make sure I was okay. I still am not a fan of going to the dentist, however, I look forward to my next appointment (especially if I get Susan as my hygienist again!) 🙂
I have been a patient at Kaiser Aloha Dental for some time, and I would like to commend Maarof Sadiq, RDH, EPP for his outstanding professionalism and care. He is consistently punctual, courteous, and highly knowledgeable in his field. He takes the time to understand my needs and provides exceptional attention to detail. He remembers me and always ensures that my visits are comfortable and efficient. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking excellent dental hygiene care.
I had a great experience with Dr. Heaphy and dental assistant Angelina. They created a calm and welcoming environment, offered great conversation, and timed distractions perfectly. They also explained everything thoroughly, which made a big difference. Very grateful. Chelsea at the front desk was equally lovely and friendly, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere. She also asks everyone coming out "How was it?" Which is very nice to talk about the appointment (to process it). This was truly the best dental visit I’ve ever had—especially meaningful as I’ve been working through childhood dental trauma. It took me three years to finally address the tooth that Dr. Gilbert (now retired) had recommended on my dental plan, and I’m so grateful this healing experience. Thank you.
My husband needs an implant, we started making appointment since January 1st this year, initial appt was scheduled in April and since then we’ve been waiting for initial treatment, required cleaning, waiting for bone graft to be ready, office won’t send referral to the implant dr/office until Oct even knowing we need to be seen at the implant office, now it’s late Nov, we are still waiting for the referral to be approved and start the initial consultation let along have a timeline for the implant. Every time we called we were told we need to wait, nothing can be done. today we called and was told that office we were referred to is CLOSED! And the referral has to be sent to a different location! This is terrible, I wish we did not switch to Kaiser in the first place, wish I can give a zero star.
Over the past few years, I’ve had multiple difficult experiences with this dental office, primarily related to scheduling, communication, and treatment planning. 1. Scheduling Issues Unlike most dental practices, this office does not allow patients to schedule routine cleanings six months in advance. Instead, patients are expected to monitor their accounts or wait for a call-back, which often leads to long delays. On several occasions, I was unable to find any available appointments for cleanings or procedures within a three-month window. 2. Treatment Planning and Communication After reporting persistent tooth pain for several months and requesting an extraction, I was instead advised to get a gold crown. I ultimately agreed, despite the high out-of-pocket cost (approximately $1,100), and paid in full before the crown was even scheduled. However, no appointments were available for the crown placement for weeks. I had to monitor my phone closely for a call-back, and if I missed their call, it was extremely difficult to get back in touch or reschedule. 3. Appointment Cancellations When I finally secured an early morning appointment for the crown placement, I arrived on time only to be told that the appointment had been incorrectly booked for a shorter time slot. As a result, the appointment was canceled on the spot. I had taken the day off work for this visit, and no alternative was offered at the time. 4. Provider Assignment and Flexibility I was assigned a provider I had never met and was not allowed to switch without making multiple requests. The system is rigid and does not allow patients to easily transfer care to another facility or provider, even when appointments are unavailable at the assigned location. 5. Resolution and Outcome After nearly a year without resolution, I switched to a private dental plan with Willamette Dental. I was able to schedule a cleaning the day after my coverage began, with no delays or complications. The contrast in service and accessibility was significant. I have filed a formal complaint with the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation regarding my experience. While I do not expect a refund for the crown that was never placed, I believe it’s important to document these issues so others can make informed decisions.
I thought the dental hygienist was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and was very careful around some sensitive areas in my mouth. She was very good about explaining things before she did them. This was by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. Thank you!! Overall the experience from start to finish in this office was really good.
