Young Smile Dental Care

I’ve been going to Dr. Young for years now. I no longer live in Bakersfield but I will continue to drive here every 6 months for my cleanings. She is consistently good and fast and I have a peace of mind coming here because I fully trust the staff. My extractions with her have been so uneventful and so quickly done- it can’t get any better than this.

I had a disappointing experience at Young Smile Dental in Bakersfield. The dentist seemed impatient throughout my visit. She did not complete my tooth filling on the first day, sent me home without making adjustments, and asked me to return the next day. I didn’t complain, even though I had difficulty eating that entire day and night. When I returned for the adjustment, although she asked if my bite felt normal, she looked like impatient. Finally, she didn’t wait to hear my full response and just walked away without any explanation. I’ve never met such a medical professional and I would never do like that to my patients. As a medical professional myself, I understand the importance of patient communication and mutual respect, which I felt was lacking in my experiences with her care. Additionally, on the first day, she blamed my tongue position during the procedure, stopped midway, and refused to complete the filling, insisting I return the next day. Changing tongue position during the dental procedure is a body’s reflex to prevent asphyxiation by the oral secretions. She must understand that concepts as a medical professional. While she appears to be a nice person, her communication skills need improvement. Another concern was her claim that my mom and I must get a cleaning from her every three months or risk losing our insurances. This statement was confusing and didn’t make sense, especially since our oral hygiene is well maintained. Given this experience, I am considering changing my dental care provider.

I was referred here for an extraction, the staff was so nice and helpful, the Doctor was great and gentle, it took more time for me to fill up the paper work than for my tooth to be out. they made sure I was in no pain and couldn't feel anything before they started pulling out. Such a great experience for me, will definitely go back.

I have 4 children and I have been under the care of Young Smile Dental Care for many years now and I don’t see myself going anywhere else. I also have a child with special needs and our Dr. makes our child feel safe and comfortable. She is very informative and safe. I had many bad experiences with past offices and I’m so thankful that Our Dr. believes in informing and breaking down the process rather than rushing you in and out of the chair like most people in town. I always leave feeling happy about the process. What I love most is that our Dental office allows you comfort your child in the back and they NEVER strap them down. From the front desk, to the staff in the back, everyone is one big team and makes you feel at ease and comfortable. If your child needs a break during treatment, they ask you to raise your hand and no matter how many times you raise your hand, they always stop and will provide with a break. They are awesome. My children’s Dr. will never work on your child if she didn’t have to and always give a thorough explanation of the exam and treatment. I love that they offer options and they keep you informed in the process. The office is always clean and neat. The office staff will go above and beyond to make sure your child are safe and comfortable. They will even sometimes call and check on you. I think that is so thoughtful. After your visit, they give you a pretty awesome goodie bag with high quality products and fun stuff too. My kids are no longer anxious about visiting to dentist thanks for Young Smile Dental Care and staff.

Dr. Young offers outstanding service; she is kind and truly cares for her patients. Additionally, her front office staff provides excellent customer service. My kids adore Dr. Young.

We can confidently say that this dentist and their team have become like family to us thanks to the friendly and encouraging environment they've created. It's reassuring to know that our oral health is in such caring and capable hands. I highly recommend this dentist and their amazing staff. They've earned our trust and loyalty, and we're grateful to have found such a fantastic dental home!

Great staff very nice sweet dr. She was so nice to me. I did not had any problem after my tooth extraction and it did not hurt. They called me an hour after I left the office to check on me. They are so different than other dentist
