I hadn't had a checkup/cleaning since before the pandemic, and needed a few fillings. Also I was looking for an office that accepted Care Source (Medicaid) and happened upon an advertisement for the Locust Dental Group while visiting the Summit County DJFS building. Looking up reviews here, I was at first a bit wary, and frankly confused, because of the one and two star reviews contrasting with the four and five star ones. After making an appnt and having not only a cleaning but several fillings done over the course of two visits, I can confidently report that my experience was top notch. Everyone from Tyler at the front desk, to Dr. Ramin and the assistants who performed the procedures were competent, professional, friendly, and efficient. I never had to wait in the lobby more than five minutes, and the cleaning and fillings were done promptly, with all three visits being in and out in under an hour. My only complaint is that I wish I would've found out about this office a few years ago.

I originally came to Locust Dental Group just for a root canal, but the experience was so good that I ended up staying and making them my primary dentist. The staff was welcoming, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made a stressful situation way more comfortable. The work itself was smooth and pain-free, and I never felt rushed or brushed off. It is rare to find a dental office that makes you feel this at ease, but Locust Dental Group absolutely does. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend to anyone especially if you need to get ahold of them. Staff is friendly, regarding the two dental hygienists I ever spoke to while I was there. I had an appointment in December, I was told I need extensive work done including root canals and wasnt scheduled until almost 2 month later. I was told I’d be put on an emergency call list and if I needed more antibiotics I would be able to call and they would send more into the pharmacy. That never happened. I called for a month straight in which I have video evidence of us being appalled and in disbelief of the amount of times we have tried calling during business hours with no answer nor return call. Finally I received a confirmation call where I informed her of this, and how I needed antibiotics due to having another abscess and severe upper respiratory infection. ( Mind you I have lupus and other severe medical complications to where a professional dentist with common sense would know a patient would need to have antibiotics prior to a procedure. ( he never called it in. I went to the appointment and informed them I never received the antibiotics and I’d prefer to have the antibiotics first and perhaps reschedule but I DID NOT feel comfortable with them working on my mouth with an abscess and being sick especially with lupus. Dr. Ramin was nasty towards me and said it didn’t matter if I was sick to preform a root canal, that he did his research on Lupus and that if I felt that way then he won’t even do it then, that obviously " I " want to have them all done at once and so he’s going to refer me out to a specialist to do them all at once… I am absolutely dumbfounded at the lack of professionalism, the pride this dentist has for only having less than 5 years under his belt. And to make a patient feel so belittled like I don’t know my own body and try to force a procedure on me. After they don’t even answer the phone. I am very afraid for other patients that come across this dentist, and glad I dodged a bullet. I will be reporting this to the Board of Dentistry and BBB.

Dr. Ramirez is truly in a league of his own. From the moment I sat in the chair, he treated me with the kind of care and attention you’d expect from a close friend or family member. His bedside manner is exceptional—calm, patient, and reassuring in a way that instantly puts you at ease. What impressed me most was how invested he seemed in making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. He explained everything clearly, checked in often, and genuinely cared about how I was feeling. By the time my appointment was over, my mouth felt as good as new, and I walked out with total confidence in the work he had done. Finding a dentist who combines skill, compassion, and professionalism isn’t easy, but Dr. Ramirez does it effortlessly. I can’t recommend him highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who will truly take care of you, make Dr. Ramirez your next dentist you will be grateful you did.

This was my first time going to Locust Dental and I was VERY impressed!! They were very nice and didn't have me waiting long at all. The dentist addressed some of the things I wanted to ask about before I could even ask. Looking forward to being a patient there.

Horrible absolutely horrible. I tried to call up there cause I’m already a previous patient first thing in the morning at 8 o’clock when they say they open at 8 o’clock to see if I can do an emergency walk in to have an extraction and she tells me oh we start walk-ins at 7:45 and they’ve already been filled. They wouldn’t even answer the phone at 8 o’clock and then she put me on hold for 20 minutes absolutely ridiculous. I’ll never come here again. I had you guys fix two of my teeth with fillings. One of the tooth completely broken in half and the whole tooth was loose and I had to pull it myself and the other tooth. The filling also came out and I’m in excruciating pain and I can’t even get it pulled. I have to go to another dentist. Thank you very much for nothing Locust dental group! I will never come to you people ever again!!!!!!! 😭

Professional and friendly staff. There was a problem with verifying my insurance and they were very accommodating in rescheduling my appointment for the next morning. My dental hygienist was very good at her job and very friendly. Great experience!
