Great experience and thank you, Caitlin! I arrived right at opening time and was warmly greeted by Caitlin, the store manager. I was looking for a particular product and even though I didn’t know the name, with a very general description, Caitlin was able to pinpoint exactly what I was looking for. From start to finish my experience was perfect and its service like this that has now made me a repeat customer.

Blue Mercury in Virginia Beach is an exceptional storefront with outstanding customer service. They carry a wide range of high-end and boutique products that you simply won’t find at most local retailers, including Macy’s. In an area with limited options for luxury beauty and skincare, this location offers an impressive selection with knowledgeable, personable, and concierge-style service. The store manager and staff were friendly, welcoming, and made the experience feel truly tailored and one-on-one. While the Town Center location is beautiful, I believe the store would thrive even more in areas like Hilltop or Red Mill, where accessibility, parking, and demographic fit may better support its niche market. Parking in Town Center, especially during busy times or inclement weather, can be a challenge that affects foot traffic. That said, I highly recommend Blue Mercury if you’re looking for unique, high-quality, boutique-style products and exceptional service.

4 stars because I was given a La Mer sample here once! Definitely a "quality over quantity" experience, but nothing you can't order at Sephora. A little underwhelmed with the selection, considering it's supposed to be "luxury". Was really hoping to find Chanel here, not the Hourglass, Bobbi Browne rotation they literally have at the Ulta across the street.

Amy is extremely helpful, sweet, and knowledgeable! She took her time with me to make sure I found the right products and was never rushed. She made the experience so enjoyable. I will definitely be back.

I bought and then returned a defective/expired SC product from this store. I normally order through the SC website, but the idea of being able to purchase SC products in store was a convenient idea. That was the last time I will shop at the VB Blue Mercury store. My experience purchasing and returning was extremely uncomfortable. The ladies in this store that I encountered are enough to not want to me to shop here again. I will just continue to buy all my SC products direct from the SC website, that way I will not feel pressured or judged and I will not get products that have been sitting on the shelf for long enough to cause my vitamin c to degrade.

The store itself is beautiful, clean, and well stocked and I always feel boujie when I decide to pick anything up from here, but the staff makes it. Ashley is a rockstar! She was so kind, and interacting with her was so refreshing compared to a lot of other cosmetic stores. She helped me pick out a few products and showed me a few new things to try- she’s extremely sweet and helpful.

I was so pleased to find my high end products in a local store (La Mer)! I was so sad to be followed around by the manager. It's a shame in 2025 all this racism still exists.
