Ulta Beauty has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 based on over 546 reviews on Google
Ulta Beauty continues to be a top-tier destination for high-quality grooming and beauty needs. The store is consistently well-maintained, and the staff is knowledgeable enough to guide you through their massive selection without being overbearing. The standout right now is the excellent sale on Sebastian hair care products, which includes fantastic deals like Buy 1 Get 1 Free on several of their iconic hairsprays. It’s a great time to stock up whether you’re shopping for men's styling or women's care. My personal favorite, the Sebastian Microweb Fiber, is a total standout in the sale. This texturizer is revolutionary for both guys and girls—it uses silky web fibers to create a weightless "3D" texture that gives you incredible separation and a remoldable hold. It’s perfect if you want a look that’s flexible and touchable rather than stiff and crunchy. Between the professional-grade products and the significant savings, this Ulta visit was a total win. I went to two separate locations in order to maximize my stock of this unbeatable hair care product
My daughter came in for a haircut and an eyebrow wax. The haircut itself was fine, but there were several issues with the overall experience. First, we received two separate text confirmations for the eyebrow wax appointment, yet when we arrived, the appointment was not on their schedule. My daughter was there for about 2½ hours total, including an additional 20 minute wait just for the wax to heat up. The eyebrow wax cost $29, and it was poorly done. There was still a noticeable amount of hair left underneath and in the middle of her brows. The technician said she could not remove it, but I was able to easily tweeze the remaining hair as soon as my daughter got home. This felt rushed and careless. Additionally, I was surprised to learn they charge an extra $21 simply to curl or straighten hair after a blow dry. That fee was not clearly explained upfront. Overall, the experience did not match the price. Nail salons do a much better job with eyebrow waxing for far less money. Unfortunately, I would not return or recommend for brow services.
It’s been exactly 2 weeks since I came in. I asked for a partial balayage and wanted a soft natural ash color look not a harsh look, especially didn’t want to end up with zebra lines. Zoe suggested lowlights. At first it seemed she started off doing good as she was teasing before applying the color, but obviously somewhere in between she didn’t care to do a professional job. She toned my hair for about 12-13 min while i sat at the washing area and missed applying toner well enough on the back bottom of my hair. When I got home i looked at my hair under a different light only to see my bottom back hair was very brassy. I did call the salon back maybe about an hour after leaving and Zoe suggested I go back in the next day to fix the brassiness. The next day while there she mentioned that she did apply the toner all over but my hair did not grab the toner well for some reason. I see it more as lack of experience and not really know what she’s doing but ok blame my hair. Anyways she recommend we try another toner, but instead of applying it just in the bottom part of my hair where it was still very brassy she applied it all over. By doing this it did change the full color completely and the lighter parts of my hair now where not as bright anymore. I didn’t even realize how bad she did placing the highlights. It looks like I have highlights only on one side of my head while the other looks dark, unless I flip my hair to the side. The more I look at my hair now, the more I keep thinking what a waste of money this hair job was and wish I could get my money back. Especially being only 2 weeks since getting it done. It shouldn’t look like this. I’m posting pics of the color I wanted and what I ended up with. First pic is what I wanted and the rest are of the mess I got. Just awful!! And i don’t recommend Zoey. *Update* After reaching out to guest services who reached out to this salon and talked to Bunnie Valdez (store manager) I’m only more frustrated at the lack of honesty and professionalism at this location. They're basically calling me a liar. Saying the pictures I’m sharing here are not of me and of the final work that Zoey did on my hair. Supposedly they have pictures of what my hair really looked like afterwards (I don’t even know how that’s possible when pictures were not taken at all) but ok and clearly after going back to get the brassiness fix and Zoe Re-toning my entire hair I clearly wasn’t left with a light and a soft dimension like Bunnie explained to guest services I got on July 31. Even the surrounding stylist said I left with lighter hair than these pics I shared. Again of course I did, because my hair wasnt re-toned yet from the brassiness that was left on July 31. I went in the next day (August 1) to get it fixed and was left with that color these pics show. Just shows how disgusting, unprofessional and dishonest some of the ladies working there are. Do better Bunnie and Zoe, I don’t appreciate being called a liar. Do yourself a HUGE favor and go to real professionals who actually know what they’re doing and save your hair from this mess.
I have been getting the express and regular Kertain treatment done at many Ulta’s for over 5 years but no one has been as incredible, talented and professional as Liliana. Not only did my keratin turn out perfect but she gave my difficult pixie beautiful shape! I have moved an hour away from her location but she’s so talented that it’s worth every second of the drive! Thank you so much!!!!
Kudos to Hannah for excellent customer service in the checkout line 👏. Having worked in the service industry for over 20 years, I am a stickler for good customer service!!!! Unfortunately, my positive experience was overshadowed and trampled by Jayme (the manager 🤨) who was rude, abrupt, and impatient with my 2nd checkout experience (I forgot to pick-up a few items) I am so furious that I am typing my review as I am standing in front of her, being refunded for my entire order. General manager please take this as a coaching opportunity. I look forward to hearing from you 🙂
Liz at the Ulta off of old Spanish Trail was absolutely amazing! She was so patient with us with our millions of questions and helped us find the perfect skin care! She deserves a raise for sure! I’ve never received better customer service!
Absolutely in love with how my hair came out. Ask for Sara R. She will set you up right❤️
