Went in today 2/21/26 to browse and smell perfumes, just getting out of the house for the first time after surgery, so really looking forward to going to my Favorite place. Walked in and saw no employees on the floor at all, about 18 people in line. Mind you this is Saturday. So I head back to the perfume area everything is locked up. No testers anywhere??? Waited 25 minutes for someone to come help us with a key...couldn't find anyone. There's now 4 customers waiting in the perfume area. I went looking for someone and there was an employee cleaning mirrors. She said she didn't have a key. I was so pissed what a let down. Ulta do better!!! First off it's a Saturday you should be fully staffed. I did not have a good time for my first time out....I will never go to this location again...Puyallup I'll try you next.

I’ve been seeing Naudia for me and my daughter’s hair for a few years now. She’s amazing. She has helped me learn how to care for my wavy hair and always delivers my daughter’s dream hair colors. Here are some pictures of my daughter’s hair and my journey from my long hair before my first curly cut to more recently!!

This review is for the hair salon. The store itself is nice! I'd give it a 4 or 5 stars. Grace gave me the worst haircut of my life. I got rescheduled to see her when the stylist I'd initially booked with took one look at my short hair and refused to cut it. Grace tried to give me the haircut I asked for, but it was going badly. It was pretty obvious she didn't have much experience with my hair type (thick, wavy) or short haircuts. Attempting to salvage the situation, I asked her to switch to a clipper cut and just do one length on top and a shorter length on the sides. This is something that I manage to do on myself at home, so it's not that complicated. She gave me a horribly uneven cut with weird blunt lines that aren't even straight. I honestly did not know it was possible to mess up a clipper cut that badly. The management handled it well though. They acknowledged the problem, comped me the cut and took a look to see if they could fix it (conclusion: no). So basically now I have to fix it myself at home... Not what I was hoping for this weekend, for sure.

My teenage daughter and I went to Ulta to check out some fragrances. Normally, she hates going there and is ready to leave the second we walk in. This time, though, we asked for assistance, and Meg came over to help us — and her customer service was absolutely amazing! Everyone at that Ulta is always nice, but I usually don’t ask for much help because I hate feeling like a bother. Meg completely changed that. She made us both feel so comfortable and welcome that my teenager actually sat down and had a full conversation with her. Later, when we had more questions, she even went looking specifically for Meg because she only wanted to work with her! Meg was super knowledgeable and answered all of our questions like we were old friends. I would 10/10 recommend this Ulta location and especially working with Meg! I even asked to speak with the manager so I could share how awesome she was, and that’s when I met Brittany — who, by the way, has the most gorgeous hair — and she was just as wonderful. It was such a refreshing experience to feel so genuinely welcomed and cared for in a store. Thank you, ladies — you are both amazing!

I used to really enjoy coming to this location, especially with how close I live, but my experience with Grace was subpar – both the haircut itself and the aftermath. I made the mistake of booking a last minute appointment with somebody who I had not worked with before. I showed up for my scheduled appointment, checked in, waited 20 minutes, then was informed she had called out and management missed it. Whether is not that is the case is neither here nor there to me. My options were to reschedule or see Grace, who would be willing to squeeze me in, but for $20 more on the base price. The salon manager tried to have that charged removed for me, considering my wait. I had plans that evening and trusted the recommendation to see Grace, so I decided to wait a bit longer then have my haircut. When I sat down in her chair, Grace asked what I wanted. I used reference photos of MYSELF and my previous haircuts, from several angles. She said my reference photos were not very good, so I asked for curtain bangs and long layers. She said no problem. That was the end of the consultation. Hair wash was the only pleasant thing. I sat back down in her seat, she combed my hair forward, held it down with her hand and chopped straight across my forehead. I was devastated. I thought she was going to do more to make it more like what I asked for, but she started drying and styling pretty much straight away. I asked her what brush I should use to dry and she said a round brush, but instead of telling me what size, only said that mine at home was too big. When she was done, I couldn’t bring myself to tell her I didn’t like it because I did NOT want her cutting my hair anymore after that point. It looked like I had clip-on bangs from Amazon. Not to mention the cowlick I have at the front of my head, directly next to my middle part. Hair was already sticking up in cowlick by the time I got in the car. So I get home, wash it, attempt to restyle it, then realized just how bad it was. I called them and told them I hated it. The salon manager got me in with another person an hour after I called, who did not charge me for her time in showing me how to style it. I had just paid $67 for a haircut from Grace, then given the recommendation to come back in FOUR WEEKS and pay another minimum of $47 to fix it. Aside from that, I was told in order to style my new (unwanted) cut, I need to buy a flat iron and multiple products that I wouldn’t need once my bangs grew out and were fixed (again 4 weeks. They wanted me to buy new tools and products to hold me over for 4 weeks). For the sake of budget and my sanity, I ended up cancelling. If I wanted to spend $115 in one month (before tip) on the haircut I had asked for to begin with, I would have gone to a private salon. The products I received as recompense? 4 perfume samplers and a Smashbox bag, which was pretty clearly some sort of overstock of free product that came with a purchase. I am not mentioning other staff names, as I do not want to sully their image with this poor review even though they were very kind and gracious about this situation. Unfortunately they can only act on their managers codes, so if the GM of this store felt like a refund or credit back on services wasn’t appropriate, there is nothing they can do. Ultimately, this was a failure on the GM’s and Grace’s part. I had to learn the hard way not to book last minute appointments and will not be back to this salon.

I went to this store to buy a few items for my wife, but from the moment I walked in, I experienced unacceptable behavior from the security guard. He kept giving me suspicious looks as if I didn’t belong there. Shortly after, he began following and closely monitoring me in an obvious and uncomfortable way, while I did not notice the same behavior toward other customers. This made me feel unwelcome and disrespected, and I couldn’t shop comfortably or take my time choosing what I needed. I ended up checking out quickly and leaving. This was a very unpleasant experience. I will definitely not return to this store, and I do not recommend it to anyone if this is how customers are treated

Colleen at the brow bar gave me the best eyebrows I've ever had hands down. Can't wait to go back to see Colleen for brows. Everyone working in the store that day was kind and helpful as well. Great experience.
