Bought a dress jacket in store for a family member (as a gift) and it turns out he already had one .. no big deal i thought. Brought it back a few days later to jcpenny in st cloud crossroads mall and they refused to refund it because the tags were removed.. of course i removed the tags, isn’t that the point of a gift? called customer service 1800 number and there is nothing they can do either. I am not the type to write bad reviews but i honestly forgot why i stopped shopping here years ago, I remember now. I get it that you’re company is going bankrupt but this is not the way you’re going to get it back..

The store is clean and comfortable to shop. I tried leaving from two exits with no check outs in sight on the side of the store I was on (where they were in the past). I put my items on the closest shelf and left after walking back and forth twice. Registers should be readily available and well marked.

Been years since I've been here. Stopped in looking for a sweater. Shopped throughout the mall but returned here as they had what I was looking for. A sweater that wasn't made for a teenager. Good experience, had what I needed and didn't need to wait.

Found some really shiny earrings after complimenting my cashier on hers. The store was implementing some new computer program that glitched 3 times. My cashier was notably irritated by this. The other young girl was irritating me. She kept saying things to my cashier, outloud, in front of 6 other customers about how stressed my cashier was. Not cool.

I had a great experience with an awkward issue 😔. I needed help having their investigation unit/fraud/identity theft/ look into locating several very old purchases. That were never used, or opened. However, had been stolen from A trusted Health care worker in our family/Mother's home. We had no idea until over a year & a half since she had been fired that she was stealing from our vulnerable adult family member. We can't tell you how happy we are with the how fast the recovery team has been able to pull up proof of these items that have been removed from our Mother's home. We look forward to the incarceration of the Health Worker who took such horrible care of our family member & created permanent damage to her home & exploited her financially for over 5 & a half years. I pray 🙏 to God that our State law maker's in Mn. Get better protection in place to prevent these things from happening in the 1st place.

Poor service without empathy by employee. Also, 1 fitting room area with 2 rooms for the entire 2nd floor. I have a mobility disability. Your store should have better accessibility. Had to walk across The whole store to get to the fitting room, and again to get to the checkout counter by my car where I was told that checkout counter is now closed. There were three people working at that counter you would think they could space out their departure so someone could be there to check people ou-it's not time for the store to close. I was told, again without empathy, I have to go back to the men's department on the other side of the store to check out, then walk the whole length of the store again to get to my car. This is not acceptable. People with disabilities should go somewhere else. I know I will.
