This store has been a disaster for decades, run by one incompetent owner after another. My recent experience proved just how little they care about their customers. I purchased items for an important event and simply needed to exchange an unused, tagged item for a different color. Instead of common decency, I was met with ignorance, attitude, and outright refusal. The way Black customers are treated here is disgusting. We pour money into businesses like this, only to be disrespected, dismissed, and given the bare minimum in return. And yet, people keep supporting them, allowing them to thrive while treating us like second-class citizens. The store itself is filthy, unorganized, and filled with cheap, low-quality products. The only reason they survive is because of convenience, but let me be clear—I’d rather drive miles out of my way than ever spend another dime here. There are far better options in Hiawassee where you’ll actually be treated with respect. This business will never grow beyond what it is: a disgraceful, poorly run establishment that preys on loyal customers who deserve better. Let it rot.

This store has been trash since I was in high school, and my latest experience was the final proof that it will never change. I bought items for church and simply needed to exchange an unused, tagged item for a different color. Instead of basic customer service, I was met with ignorance, attitude, and flat-out refusal—like they couldn’t be bothered to do their damn jobs. The energy in this place is as foul as the service. It’s disgusting how Black customers are constantly disrespected in places like this while still spending money here. And the women who work there? Useless. They stand around like scared puppets, clueless about the garbage they sell and too afraid to speak up or help. The only thing consistent about this store is its revolving door of incompetent employees who don’t know a damn thing about the products they stock. The store itself is a disaster—filthy, unorganized, and overflowing with cheap, low-quality junk that isn’t worth a penny. They survive off convenience, but let’s be real: it’s not worth the frustration, the disrespect, or the sheer waste of money. I made the mistake of stopping by for convenience, but never again. There are far better stores in Hiawassee where you won’t be treated like a problem just for existing. This place is a roach-infested, half-assed excuse for a business that will never grow beyond what it is: a bottom-tier dump that exploits loyal customers. Let it rot.

I don’t understand the hate over this business.. I’m not from Orlando but decided to go here but was initially scared because of the google reviews. However, I had a pleasant experience. They had a lot of different variety of hair and products and the prices were cheaper compared to other stores I’ve been to.

If you wanna feel like a criminal please shop here. They will follow you around the store , don’t wanna exchange or refund anything even if you brought it in their face 5 mins ago. Take 15 mins to buy a blow dryer or any item in the box because they will take it out and turn it on. What kind of mess is that. Spend an extra 5 mins and drive to idrive and go to beauty exchange anything but there!!!! If your person of color please shop elsewhere

I have been to the store maybe four times, the owners of the store are extremely rude. They follow you around the store, they act as if every black person is a theif; this will be my last time in the store. I paid for a wig the young lady that they hired to work there offered to cut the lace for $2 I told her that was fine, I paid the $2 and the price of the wig and one eyeliner the owner would not let me take my bag with the one eyeliner in it to the wig area to get my wig cut that I had already paid for. She gave me a hard time with my credit card she acted as if I was impersonating someone else when my face and name were clearly on my driver's license. I will never ever go in this store again, and I suggest to other people that you consider the reviews you have read and make your own decision. These people profile you and treat you as if you are the biggest thief on earth.

My experience was not great at all. I went in the store to purchase Grey hair, which they did not have. Instead of just leaving, I found another option. Upon checking out, I advised the cashier that I was a hair braider, but he didn't want to apply my discount. I started to go ahead and purchase the hair, but thought I don't want to contribute to an establishment that don't support me. I purchase hair for my clients quite often, but it's not happening at this establishment today.

They get two stars only because the ladies they hire are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Other than that I would probably completely avoid this store. The owners/family workers are terrible! They are they typical racist hair store owners. I have witnessed them stop WOC on their way IN and search their personal bags. They follow customers up and down the aisles. They are very rude especially with the younger black girls that I see come in. They are the usual "hurry up and buy" type. Their hair products like braiding extensions are often old and have a moldy smell. Their soaps as well. The only reason I go is for the convenience because they are close to home and if I'm doing hair and absolutely have no other choice or need something quickly I will go there.
