Always a positive experience when I order from Nigel’s. The variety in items they carry is almost dangerous since every time I go in for one thing I leave with five more I didn’t realize I needed. If there was a product I was looking for but could not decide on a brand the staff would have conversations with me and assist me in choosing the best brand/product line for my needs. Although there are moments they can get busy, whenever a member of the staff becomes available then they always check in. Even their security is well informed where their products are and can help when they are busy. Their team appears to be very close and it shows that the environment there is probably a positive one. They all help each other and It reflects in the costumer service. Now that I do not reside in California, I mainly order from their website! The updated website is amazing and easy to maneuver. But anytime I find myself back in town I always go in. I just recently placed an online order and thought I’d share my experiences.

The staff helped me with the stuff I am looking for the items. Sandra's help me to applied for the program and was very helpful with everything.

I expect to be able to shop freely, as an African-American woman, without being profiled or followed as though I were about to steal. Instead, I was made to feel targeted and unwelcome. To make matters worse, the manager’s only response was, "I’m sorry." There was no acknowledgment that the treatment was unacceptable, no assurance it would be addressed, and no accountability offered. A hollow apology without action is not enough. Mind you, I have been shopping at this location for the past five years without any issues. That history makes this experience even more troubling, and it raises the question of whether this is a larger management problem that needs to be addressed immediately. That being said, I will be returning because this is one of the few places that carries the products I require. When I come back, I fully expect the experience to be far better than the last. If it is not, and there does not appear to be a genuine change in culture, then I will make sure that neither I nor anyone I am associated with continues to shop here. I will also take to social media and make it known that this is not a safe place for Black women to shop comfortably. No excuses.

I love shopping at Nigel's, I have been a customer since day 1. It is for sure a Make Up Artist shopping destination in Los Angeles. This is the best beauty store I have ever seen. This is perfect for a beauty supply store to get their merchandise. This is also great if you want to do an at home hair bleaching. They have everything like toner and bleach, to makeup to wigs. I went into the store thinking it was just going to be one small place. It ended up being three giant store is connected that were all under Nigel Beauty Emporium. This place was so beautiful and spectacular, because on the first section they had a lot of make up for example lipstick ,bronzer highlights ,contour, foundation, eyeliner, and more! Then on the second section they had everything hair related and some stuff for your face. There was more than 100 brands of different kind of conditioners and also shampoo. They even had some stuff for bleaching your hair and other hair dyes that were amazing and they even had samples which was amazing and they really helped out. As soon as you walk into the second section what happens is you see all the temporary tattoos which is amazing and stunning because they are all able to be applied to your face so they are kind of mask like. There are some really gorgeous masks! As for the last section it’s wigs and wig holders where you can carry all your things which is very convenient! There is many parts of the wigs for example, there is extensions there is weaves there is even just small clips of here that you can add on. What I like most about this place is that there is literally an entire wall just for brushes make up, and hair which is amazing as well. Lastly one of the things I like is that when you first see the store it’ll tell you where the sections are and how they are divided on the front it says what side you are on.
