The Cosmetics Company Store

We do not recommend this particular Cosmetics Company Store after the experience we had today. A store employee contacted security on me and reported a "theft in progress" after apparently jumping to conclusions. I had put makeup I was going to be purchasing down on one of the counters while trying on foundation (I assume many do this). When the employee didn’t immediately see where I had placed the makeup (and they didn’t ask me about it; or request that I leave things I planned to purchase at the front counter- I would have been happy to do so), they assumed I was stealing something. I was standing in front of a mirror trying on makeup to decide which to buy when security asked me and my husband to step out of the store to search our bags. The store employee accused me of putting something in my bag but of course there was nothing there. The security guards were respectful and apologetic and we appreciated how they handled it. (They shared that they had viewed video before arriving and knew that there was no theft, but had to follow protocol). The store employee did not apologize, even when it became clear that we did not steal anything! There were so many better ways they could have handled/avoided/resolved the situation. Needless to say, we made no purchases there and will not step foot in this store again.

This was my first time visiting the Cosmetics Company store, and visiting from out of town. Bobby helped my brother and I during the whole process. He helped me sort through some containers of eyeshadow to find some colors I was interested in. Very patient, friendly, and amazing. I found some amazing steals from my fav brands. This experience added to quality of my trip so far in NOLA. I would definitely come again.

Review for Kay at Riverwalk Outlets Kay’s customer service was excellent. I asked her to explain how to apply the eye shadow she helped me find, and she went the extra mile and wrote down the instructions that she had just described. She was still able to check out another customer that she had also helped. She did it with so much patience, and I was very pleasantly surprised because good customer service is lacking in a lot of other establishments these days.

I started coming here at the start of the year. This one girl always helped me. She was patient, kind, and always seemed to get me to buy more than I planned in a good way! It was my favorite place to go on pay day. The last few times I went in she hasn’t been there and when I ask for her, that’s if I can find someone to ask, I’m either gaslit into thinking there was never anyone that worked there by that name, or I’m quickly dismissed. I never get the help I used to get. It’s no different than going to Wal-mart. Miss Samantha if you read this, Miss Louise and I miss you and your courtesy expertise.

terrible service!!! The store manager named India lie about product and service! The other very tall and curly hair black girl was very rude! Probably think she is the owner of the store... Dont ever believe in their words! Their item's expiration date is in about a month or so! Check it before you buy.

Kay really took her time to make sure we had everything we needed. She was very patient and nice. Thanks to her we will be making another trip. Thanks KAY❤️❤️ keep being great!

WOW! This place has all the good vibes and great prices. Walked in and was immediately greeted by Ms. Bri, Who have nothing but over the top customer service!! She matched my makeup and up sold me on some amazing blush by Bobby Brown!! I’m so impressed because I was fitted with the right color, after years of trying to find it without looking old..Bri, you were a blessing and a great help. Thank you💕
