I love coming to shop at Violet Grey! The shop is beautiful and feels very old Hollywood, but you’ll find all the best products. I like knowing that everything has been tested and vouched for. I love shopping with Sima and Brandon. Always a treat getting to go in person to shop.

This shop itself is beautiful and much smaller than I had anticipated. I rarely write reviews but the service I received as a paying customer was absolutely shocking. I was looking for a specific eyeliner and the salesperson was so unhelpful, and could not be bothered to see if they had it in stock. She was rude and I felt like I was being judged the entire time. Maybe I was not decked out in designer clothing, but I did purchase two items and left there thinking why did I even bother buying from this store as I could have given my business to a store that had people working in it who care about their customers and their experience. Given that you can find anything these days online or even in other specialty shops, I will not purchase from here again. Customer service and being kind matter!

I love coming into this shop! The associates are so nice and helpful, Brandon is super friendly and knowledgeable about all the products they carry. I love that the shop feels intimate, not at all like the overwhelming experience of a Sephora store with a hundred employees hounding you. Staff are helpful and I feel like I’m shopping in someone’s chic Parisian apartment!

have visited this store on multiple occasions and I can honestly say that each time has been a bad experience. I have made several purchases here and the tall brunette woman is the absolute worst- she is rude, snobby and her aura/vibe is so unsettling.I can not pin point what it is but I know there is something very dark about her energy and it definitely shows. So many times have I asked for a certain color or product and its always "sold out".. i'm left with no remedy! I work in luxury retail and I can't imagine having a customer just leave empty handed or without some sort of lead. My friend asked her if she has tried a specific product and she snobbily responded, "well yeah I have tried everything..." shes just the worst!!! Sucks because I love the store!! so beautiful, love the curated selection but every time I walk in there, I have to brace myself just in case I see her. A few times I have seen a male associate there and they have been much easier to work with.
