Absolutely awful experience shopping here. My boyfriend and I were shopping for Christmas gifts and were followed around by staff and closely watched. Male staff member with long red hair forcefully opened a drawer I was standing in front of and hit my shin without apologizing then continued to trail us throughout the store, putting little effort into attempting to conceal their suspicion. If you’re here just to browse around and peruse skincare options, best to skip this branch unless you like to be uncomfortably followed. If you’re dressed even a little bit too casual for the taste of this particular branch’s employees, best to skip as well as you’ll be obviously deemed unworthy of being in the store and the general courteousness deserved by any average guest.

My experience with Ana was 10/10, her energy was wonderful and her makeup advice was really encouraging. She suggested some colors I’ve never considered before and looked amazing. Great amount of care given!

I had the absolute pleasure of having my makeup done by Anna in Bluemercury at Larchmont. Anna did an incredible job! She was able to make my vision of what I wanted come true! She was extremely professional and did exactly what was necessary to make my skin look flawless. The makeup did not crease and stayed spot on the entire event. She used colors that were very suitable for my complexion. She did a complete makeup, including individual lashes, which are very hard to do. She was very meticulous and detail oriented. She made me feel at ease and discussed all the products that she used on me. Not only did she make me look fabulous for my event, but I learned a lot about what products I should be using. I recommend seeing Anna at Bluemercury and I will definitely be back!!!

I've been visiting the Bluemercury store in Larchmont since I moved to Los Angeles in 2021, and I can't speak highly enough of the entire team—especially Ana Hernandez. Every visit feels like I'm catching up with trusted friends who truly care about my needs. Ana, in particular, has been incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. She takes the time to understand exactly what I'm looking for and always shares thoughtful recommendations based on her deep product knowledge. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care make every experience not just helpful but enjoyable. This level of service is rare, and it's what keeps me coming back. The mission of Blue Mercury was reflected very poorly on their values of ensuring that the culture within their walls feels inclusive to all was far from my experience I had at this store location. As soon as I arrive with my husband & son we were followed everywhere and it was obvious. We are minorities and felt that we were treated differently and were followed around the store. I explained this to one of the employees as she watched her coworker follow my black husband around the store. Her only explanation was that they had someone come in 30 min earlier and steal at their store. That was it. As she continued to watch my family and I be followed and made felt very uncomfortable and targeted at this store. This store in no way reflects or is committed to the mission to create a welcoming space where everyone with different ethnicity or different background in the community can share the power of beauty. If you are a minority, I highly recommend you shop anywhere else, but here. This store at this location is no way a welcoming space for minorities nor are they committed to allow you to have a positive or pleasant shopping experience.

3 people working wasn't greeted… asked about a product.. they waited 3-5 minutes before looking i was the only customer in the store… weird vibes. studio city location much friendlier and more helpful i called the studio city location and they ordered it for me in 1 minute on the phone… said it wasn’t a problem.. larchmont just said "ya sorry can’t help you" felt like julia roberts in pretty women like i wasn’t rich enough looking to be helped..? oh well i’ll buy my la mer elsewhere… weird weird vibes

Ana is very friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful with any of my makeup or skincare needs!
