I purchased a bottle of purfume for my daughter and a gift card for my wife at store 217(Farmington Hills) for Christmas. Turns out that my wife doesn't shop there and I went to return the gift card to put that towards something else for her. I was told that gift cards were non refundable I was upset because that was not told to me at the time of purchase, and my receipts don't say that either. 1st of all selling non refundable gift cards is NOT a good practice, and 2nd that should have been made clear to me and just in case I would have forgotten, it should say so on my receipts. Instead I was read some greedy corporate BS that made sure that I will never step foot in one of those stores again. It was only $50 so it wasn't about the money, I'll just gift the card to someone else. I just don't like being treated like a Sucker

This is a wonderful ULTA. I was very impressed with Janan the sales manager and my cashier Chederra. These ladies went out their way to assist me. The store was clean, bright and inviting and featured a huge selection of in-stock products. If I ran a company, I would be thrilled to have both of these employees on my team. They really made me feel like a valued customer. I'm looking forward to my next visit! Thank you for the excellent customer service this morning.

Came here yesterday and felt like I was being followed lol. I work for another big beauty company so I understand high theft rates and having to be careful, but you shouldn’t intimidate people and I just want to shop in peace without someone following every aisle I go to, especially as a paying customer. It’s crazy because I used to want to work at this location but I would never work here if that’s how the employees make the shopping experience. I think there is new staff because I used to go here all the time and had only great experiences but it has been a minute since the last time I came here. But someone with long dark hair did help me find something and was very helpful and i appreciated it.

This store experience was absolutely phenomenal. I would recommend the store to any anybody looking for Make Up skin care. Lerna made sure I left with all the right product that suited my face absolutely amazing young lady. The Estée Lauder lady was also very helpful Faye. I had such a great experience

I visited this location on December 27 and had a very disappointing experience. My partner and I were repeatedly pressured by a staff member to sign up for a store credit card, even after we politely declined multiple times. Earlier while browsing in the store, we were told there was a 20% promotion, but it was later revealed that the discount only applied if you signed up for the credit card. This was not made clear upfront and felt misleading. The entire experience was uncomfortable and came across as overly aggressive and predatory rather than customer-focused. I have been shopping at this store on and off for years and most likely won't return because it made me extremely uncomfortable.

I had an amazing experience with Marissa (mua) hopefully | remembered her name right lol. She was so sweet. She very knowledgeable on all the products and especially on color for different skin shades and under tones. She took her time to help me find the perfect foundation for my neutral undertone, concealer and setting powder. plus i got a free gift with my purchase. thank you 🫶🏾

went here to return an item from my online order today. The cashier was VERY rude. Said she couldn’t find my order under my phone number so I gave her my order number & receipt on my phone, and she proceeded to toss my phone back to me across the counter. Then, she said I was returning an item that was not in my order history (she put in an incorrect order#). After showing her the item in fact WAS in the order, she proceeded to snatch my phone to put in the correct # and rudely tossed my phone back to me once again. Her attitude was distasteful and made me very uncomfortable. I will NOT be going back here.
