I recently visited Ulta Beauty, and I have very mixed feelings about my experience. The associate who assisted me was knowledgeable and somewhat attentive. However, toward the end of my visit, I was extremely disappointed and honestly disgusted by a comment she made loudly and multiple times in the store. She referred to someone’s drink as "diabetes in a cup." As someone living with Type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune, genetically related condition that I had absolutely no control over developing, found that remark disgusting. I’ve always viewed Ulta as an inclusive and welcoming brand, which made this experience even more upsetting. Because of that moment, I am genuinely reconsidering where I choose to purchase my beauty products.

I literally never leave reviews but this place has such poor management/service it was ridiculous. Please don’t even go here. Find a different store. From the very moment I walked in I was treated as tho I was stealing even though I was waiting for my hair appointment because there is literally no receptionist/check in so you have no choice but to wonder around helplessly until your stylist is ready. I was stalked around the store by a middle aged man wearing no store badge or identification or even just a ulta store brand anywhere on his person to the point I felt so unsafe I nearly left the store completely only to be approached and asked the usual "can I help you with anything" which wouldn’t normally be disturbing but as a woman alone not able to even identify if this person was an employee or a random stranger who has bad intentions left me very uneasy. I then tried to find literally ANY employee to help me find what I was looking for because there were no testers for a product I simply decided to do what any logical person would do when there is already open products from others with the same issue wanting to try it and open one and started to try it when a tall blonde woman employee came up to me and in the most rude tone as if she had caught me stealing and was fed up with me said "can I help you " and before I could reply that yes she could in fact help me she then proceeded to interrupt me and say "DID YOU JUST USE THAT!?" "Can’t you see There are no testers!!" Snatched the product. I proceeded to then say sorry and as she walked away I let her know of the other opened products because I figured if it was this emergent of a situation she should clean up the entire display but she then acted as though I was pestering her. She then proceeded to yell at another employee for asking to be logged into something. I was not helped at all felt threatened two separate times in this store and I can honestly say I’ve never had such a blatantly negative experience in an ulta ever. I will be filling a report with ulta management. I am unnerved.

Store staff were great. Professional Makeup extremely disappointing. My appointment was change with no real notice. Due to situation store staff applied lashes without fee. If I could, I'd give makeup application 0 stars. I drove 45 minutes for my appointment. I received a message while pulling into the parking lot that my appointment had been changed. Driving back and forth to the cancelled session was a waste of 1.5 hours I did not have. The last minute change was rude, unprofessional, inexcusable and did not work with the timing of my event.

My daughter had her hair done by Destiny at the Ulta in Everett Mall and she did absolutely Amazing!! My daughter is beyond happy and so am I!! Thank you Destiny for doing such an amazing job!!! Also, Robin was amazing. She took time to do a test Strand on my daughters hair and booked us an appointment! Thank you ladies for the awesome work and great customer service!!!

I got my makeup done for a special event at the Everett Ulta and it was my first time coming in. I could not have been more thrilled and LOVED my look, that Raven the makeup artist created! She was beyond sweet and answered every question I had about what products to use, the techniques she was using and far superseded my expectations. I will actually be going to her for makeup lessons and any other special occasion makeup. I would highly recommend coming to her and the price is a lot cheaper than many of the makeup artists you'll find for special event makeup. Thank you so much Raven! I also have had my hair done by stylists Elizabeth and Noemi and they both did such a phenomenal job with giving me blowouts on my very thick and coarse hair! They are both incredibly sweet and fun to talk to as well! Thank you both.

My mom has been coming her for years to get her hair done. Last month she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had a lot of anxiety around if she wanted to wait it out or just shave her head because she wasn't sure what would be better for her mentally and emotionally. There are three of us sisters, and our hair is a big part of all of our identity. We rarely even cut our hair. In the end she decided to shave her head and she went to the same girl she has been seeing (from what I understand) Heather. This experience of shaving her head could have been so traumatic and difficult for her but the entire team at this specific Ulta made it... I don't want to say a great experience. But made it a "growth" experience instead of a "cancer" experience. The manager got her sunflowers. All the girls were so supportive emotionally and made her feel pretty and even though she was extremely sad, it's been a few days and she feels so positive about it. I just wanted to express how grateful I was that they took such good care of her. They're working on her wig and giving her directions and suggestions and advice. I just can't express how grateful I am. So thank you.

Booked an appointment for one of the salon services, and I came in about 10 minutes early. When I asked a question about the service, one of the associates was so dismissive and rude, I decided to just go somewhere else because it totally ruined my mood to be treated like that. Very disappointing 🙁
