Customer Reviews
Ulta Beauty has a rating of 3.6 out of 5 based on over 201 reviews on Google
I really, really enjoyed my experience with this location. So,so much better than the one in north off of freeway Blvd. The store was clean , well organized the shelves had product on them. And let's talk about them employees Chile, they were so inviting, warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. I truly enjoyed them. I will be back guys.
We had an appointment at Ulta Beauty for a makeup session. Our artists were Michelle and another lady whose name I didn’t get. Honestly, this was the WORST makeup experience I’ve ever had in my life! The makeup looked nothing like the picture we showed them. It was done so poorly that I was shocked when I saw myself in the mirror. They charged $70 just for makeup, and without clearly telling us, they added fake lashes and charged even more. In the end, we paid $180 for two people — and it was absolutely NOT worth it! When I got home, I washed my face right away because the makeup looked awful. I did it myself and it looked a hundred times better. I can’t believe these people call themselves professional makeup artists — they clearly have no real skills. I’m writing this so nobody else wastes their money, time, and energy like we did. Completely disappointed and angry. I will NEVER go back there again! I never expected this from such a big company like Ulta. It’s absolutely outrageous that inexperienced makeup artists are allowed to work on clients. They clearly have no real skills or proper training, and the results of their work are shocking and completely unprofessional. It’s astonishing that a company of this size would trust such people with paying customers, and it shows a total lack of respect for clients who expect even a basic level of competence. This kind of incompetence is unacceptable and infuriating.
⭐️ 0 Stars — Shockingly Disrespectful and Discriminatory This was, without question, the most humiliating and infuriating experience I’ve ever had with a stylist. In my experience, the stylist’s behavior was appalling — openly dismissive, uninterested, and showing what I personally perceived as clear racist and condescending attitudes. Enza B.- the lady, was unpleasant and laughed with other staff while telling me the hair color I wanted was not possible (?!?!), she wasn’t sure if she could do it for me and openly told other staff at the salon— I don’t think she’s coming back! (After she gave me an estimate of $500–rough estimate) for work she couldn’t even guarantee was going to be anything like I asked. Money has never been a problem with me. I don’t mind spending even double the amount for good service. But This was some experience!! I have never been treated with such disrespect ever. I walked out feeling disgusted that a reputed salon would allow this level of unprofessional, discriminatory behavior from someone representing their business. I would give zero stars if I could! Based on my experience, I strongly warn anyone considering this stylist ENZA B. to think twice
I came in around 8pm on November 14, a lady named Tran helped me. Tran is very helpful, she directed me to a section that was meant for my eczema prone skin. Tran was very diligent in informing me and two other customers about the products that was in her section. Its really hard to find such hard workers like her. If I ever need help navigating what skin products works best for my skin, best believe I am looking for Tran!
I needed help finding a good shade match for a concealer that I knew I wanted to get. I feel like I swatched the whole line but couldn’t figure it out. This makeup line had a huge shade range. I was about to give up and just leave when Jackie asked if I needed help. She sat me down near the window with proper lighting and tried two different shades on me that would work in summer and winter! She absolutely knew what she was doing with the concealer application on my under eyes…applied so smoothly, not patchy, etc. Super satisfied with the customer service. I wish I could’ve tipped her but found out they don’t accept tips.
Ive been months dealing with this hairstyle and I would like to warn others coming in for a simple haircut. Be exactly clear on what you do and don’t want in a haircut. I came in asking to even out the ends of my hair as they were thin and damaged, assuming that because I walked in with curly hair and talked about having curly hair I think my stylist tried to give me layers or a curl cut? Now whenever I do my hair if I put it on one shoulder the remaining hair falls back onto the original side and gives the shape of a "Karen cut" or like a bob. When it is curly it sits on top of the longer pieces and when straightened it’s incredibly noticeably chopped. Trying to style it has been a mess that normally results to me having to put up my hair/use a headband causing more damage (at least with putting it up). Stylist, please ask more questions and do not go rouge because you think the style is cute. If my stylist had asked if I wanted layers/ curly cut I would have definitely told her no. I’m not mad as it’s just hair but styling it has become so challenging that I’ll probably have to deal with for months maybe years because my hair grows slow. Again, please don’t do whatever you think will look good on clients hair and if you do be crystal clear on what you do.
I came in to re-up and buy a new foundation I’ve been wanting to try out (spent around $300 total). I asked the makeup artist to shade match me. Instead of swatching properly, she picked one random shade, brushed me off with "I don’t know, you pick," and then walked away leaving foundation on my face with no wipe or direction. That’s not only insulting, it’s unsanitary. When I asked the lead for help, she offered a wipe but no accountability. As a manager myself, I know staff behavior reflects training and culture. No customer spending hundreds deserves to walk away with less dignity than they walked in with. I usually shop Ulta online, but this was my first time at this location—and it will be my last. Respect, professionalism, capable staff, and proper training should be the bare minimum.
