Pop Cult

Came in Friday and had a great experience here! I had help from Leah who was a literal saint with helping me find what I was looking for with great recommendations! She’s so sweet and we had a great conversation 🙂 Love this store so much and the staff is lovely

such a good selection of pop culture merch, japanese snacks & drinks, as well as anime/studio ghibli stuff and even k pop merch. the workers were all so kind and attentive, especially Leah!! She was so enthusiastic and was very knowledgeable about the products and media and I really enjoyed talking to her. Kailani was also very nice and helpful!!

My son was not swinging it around until it broke. I called the store to apologize because I was angry and took it out on the employee. I would love to see the so called security footage you speak of. My husband took my kids to the mall and my 10 year old picked up a stuffed animal by the string and it came out. The girl working told us we had to buy it because we broke it. My husband didn’t want the argument and bought it. My son is sobbing because he was only looking at it. What a crock. She said they do not accept returns and refused to let me return it. Awful. Don’t go in or touch a thing because they will claim you broke it and make you buy it. Horrible. I’m furious! We shopped here many time but will not go back or even step foot in that store now because of this experience.

I’ve been shopping there for 5 years and I believe this store is awesome! This is how I discovered my hobby and love of building model kits and figurine collecting. I also love the snacks and drinks they have there as well. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the merchandise they sell. 10/10 I’ll be shopping there again!

This store is the coolest store that I have ever been to. The employees were very friendly and happy to help find whatever that I am looking for. 10/10 the most beautiful store that I would love to visit again. Especially, for the cheap snacks they have compared to the other stores.

09/16/23 at 1:10pm eastern time. My daughter and I when shopping for my son birthday at the Countryside Mall. So we stopped by this store because my son love pika chu. What happened was my daughter found a keychain, she bought it to the register but then we decided not to get it. My daughter wanted to leave the keychain at the counter but I told her to put it back where she got it from the rack for them. This cashier was watching me standing there while I was watching my daughter put the items back where is belong before we left. However, when my daughter came back and we was walking out the door this cashier was running to us and asked where’s the keychain. I pointed to her that my daughter put it back on the rack where it belongs. She claimed to " I am sorry, but there are many items went missing from this store and they don’t no where it was". It doesn’t mean that every customer walks in your store you are going to treat them like a thief. I spoke to the manager was standing there and he said she did everything that she supposed to. It sounds like he is the one behind all this, teaching the cashier to pick on customers walk in this store and running after them may be some day they will catch an actual person that steal stuff from their shop. I was so upset and looked up reviews on this store, it turned out that I wasn’t the only one that experienced this. They had done this to other customers also. I am not very happy with this store treating the customer like this. This is not the store that I would like to visit, but I stopped by because it is my son birthday and this is what I received from this store. If they don’t want customers return unwanted item where it belongs then put a sign at the counter or ask customer to give it to them so they can put it back. They also could have asked me while I was still standing there waiting for my daughter put the item back where it belongs for them. I feel very disrespectful with the way the cashier ran after us at the door to ask where is their item. I pointed to her that my daughter hanged back on the rack for them, I was so upset but still offered to her if she wanted to check my purse. The manager there also told me that they don’t need to change anything about how they treated customers visiting their shop.

I really did love this store, and love to spend lots of money when I come here because theres lots of cute stuff. Last time I was in I bought my partner and I matching shirts (2 for $45). I noticed (10 days after purchasing) that one of the shirts was severely defective, and the graphic printed on it was very noticeably off center. Not wanting to waste money on something defective that would never be worn, i called the store and asked if i could return or exchange the product as i was certain there was something in the store id like to exchange enough for the defective product. Staff told me that they do not accept returns when you pay in cash, and would not make any exceptions or accommodations even though they put a defective product out on the salesfloor for an unlucky person (me) to waste money on. I used to be a huge supporter of this store and it is one of the two stores i come to countryside mall for but this experience has definitely soured my opinion and I will definitely not be returning again. (Since it looks like the manager likes to respond, im happy to provide receipts, images of the defective clothing i purchased from your store, and time stamps of the phone conversation when i called the store. Saved them all in hopes you'll be willing to resolve this situation and make this right. Defective items sold by a business should definitely be the exception to an already ridiculously strict return policy.)
