absolutely love the Ulta Beauty at The Forum in Carlsbad. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with kindness and smiles, and it instantly makes the experience feel special. The store is always beautiful, clean, and so easy to shop in, with an amazing selection of both high-end and affordable products. The staff truly goes above and beyond. They are so patient, caring, and knowledgeable, and they genuinely want to help you find what works best for you. I never feel rushed or pressured — just supported. It honestly feels like shopping with friends who really care. This Ulta has become one of my favorite places to shop for beauty and skincare. I always leave feeling happy, confident, and well taken care of. Highly recommend this location to anyone in Carlsbad — you won’t be disappointed 💕

I took my daughter to get a hair cut at Ulta’s salon last month. Stylist Linlyn Macdougall did an amazing job! She was so patient, kind, and really took her time making sure that my daughter loved her haircut. Thanks to Linlyn, my daughter returned to school after winter break feeling more confident.

I got my hair done at Ulta and honestly took a huge leap of faith. I booked my haircut on a total whim and was able to get in within an hour. Was it fate? Quite possibly. I was actually pretty nervous because I usually do a ton of research before booking with a stylist and yet have never found the perfect fit. Usually I love my hair when I leave the salon but hate it after the first wash. You know the drill. Or I end of with a stylist who complains about my hair (I have a lot) and it makes for a pretty uncomfortable appointment. I booked with Linley (not sure of the spelling) and from the very beginning she was so kind and welcoming. Did not complain about my hair once (; I told her what I wanted and she DELIVERED. like perfectly to a T. This was hands down the best haircut I have ever received and I'm not even exaggerating. Its insanely easy to style, feels and looks so healthy, and weeks later I'm still getting tons of compliments. Even my students say I'm serving and that says something. I love my hair so much I'm writing this weeks later. This is your sign. Book with Linley. Shes a hair wizard.

I just had rude customer service by someone in a brown ponytail - their sarcasm and lack of care for customer service was made obvious through their words and actions. Very sad to see this place decline so much - I will shop at Sephora or BlueMercury from now on.

Very happy with this Ulta! The store carries a lot of cruelty free options for curly hair. Melissa at the salon is a hair goddess! I came in with a botched balayage (basically just streaky highlights) done at a high end salon the day before, and she fixed me up beautifully within 2 hours and for half the cost! They use a conditioning bleach which saved my hair from being damaged after double bleaching. She personally blended a beautiful tone that complements my skin and natural color. She explained exactly how she was painting my hair, recommended really awesome products for all of my hair concerns, and was just a delightful woman! The entire staff was really nice and helped me as a walk-in when I was in dire need of a correction! Thank you Melissa!

I recently got a haircut here by Rachel M and she was fantastic! It might be the best haircut I’ve ever gotten! She did exactly how I asked but better. Would definitely recommend her if you’re unsure who to go with 🙂

The cashier Azalia was very unfriendly and had a rude demeanor. I asked a simple question regarding the price of an item and I received nothing but attitude from her. Please train your associates to have better customer service skills. It doesn’t cost anything to put a smile on and be friendly.
