I was in search of a new foundation when l walked into Bluemercury in Carlsbad. Ruben warmly greeted me as l walked in. Ruben asked several questions about what l wanted in a foundation, l decided to pick two. Ruben tried one foundation on half of my face and the other on the other half of my face. I wanted to do a wear test and Ruben agreed. I was pleasantly surprised most sales people get an attitude. I returned after my wear test and decided on both foundations. Ruben did a full face of makeup with new spring colors. Natalie and Rhonda were helpful with suggestions too. I purchased several items and received excellent customer service. Ruben is my go to person.

I was searching for Sol de Janeiro to smooth my dry cracked hands from repeatedly washing my hands throughout the day. I explained the kind of skin care products and the woman who assisted me picked out a fantastic hand crème. I went with the M-61 Hydraboost and my hands are happy again! I was very surprised with this store. They carry the full perfume line of Lake & Skye which is my absolute favorite!

Had a terrible experience at this store when attempting to make a large purchase of new foundation, concealer, powder, the works! The associate working called me "love" in a British accent at least 4 times, which was incredibly off-putting. What was more off-putting was that she absolutely no help to me at all! Honestly, the concept of this store leaves me baffled. The associates that work there are not trained on the products, but yet you have to wait for them to go to the back to get the merchandise that you want to buy. So it's basically comparable to gong to a drug store where nobody is there to help you out, but at least at Target, you can just grab the product and go, once you've decided! Further, I was told me that I needed to come back and make an appointment with a brand specialist because they are the only ones that can help me. What a complete waste of time! Needless to say, I will never go back!

This was my 1st facial at Blue Mercury, Encinitas and I absolutely loved it!! I had Esthetician Camilla and it was remarkable how knowledgeable she was. We talked about facial treatment options and reviewed products in the store before my appointment I let her guide me and was truly pleased that she listened and chose applicable products. I enjoyed the process and once situated really relaxed. My skin tone is noticeable more even now and my skin feels refreshed and alive. The micro dermabrasion was my first one and it was so much more gentle than expected. I'm so grateful and will definitely be back for future facials.

Went in to pick up an item as well as to get a consultation for some skincare, but when I walked in, nobody acknowledged my presence. Both staff members were engaged with other customers, so I waited. However, not only did nobody said hello or welcome, but when one customer was clearly ready to check out, the staff member kept looking for samples to give the other customer and went so far as to make samples and to go to the back to look for more prepackaged options. The other customer kept apologizing to me, rather than the staff member, feeling sorry for the lack of care I was shown and for my waiting. I have no problem waiting, but I have a problem with being ignored. I get that all service and client spaces are short staffed as stores reopen, but this felt like I was being profiled as someone with less to spend (which I’m not). Will not return here and will ensure that none of my friends or family do either.

Terrible experience. Personnel were rude to my mother and I. The sign outside said "free gift with purchase" but after making a $50 purchase we discovered the free gift is only if you pay over $200 (and I had to ask the cashier about three times before she replied to my question). My mom wanted a printed receipt for her bookkeeping but they would only do email receipt and my mom didn't want to get their spam emails so she was stuck without any receipt (and the cashier was impatient explaining it to her, I had to translate her abrupt statements). Because of COVID not only could we not sample things, but we couldn't even touch the closed items on the shelves at all. We waited for ages while they explained at length every product's details to two other customers, before we could be given the item we wanted from the shelf that we already knew we wanted when we first walked in. Ridiculous. Not going there ever again. Will have to find someplace else in the area that stocks Bobbi Brown.

I get my eyebrows waxed at Bluemercury by Maria! Maria makes Bluemercury shine. She is an excellent esthetician. She is extraordinarily kind. I followed Maria when she left Ulta and went to Bluemercury. I highly recommend Maria because she is very fastidious about her work. Maria does not rush as she wants to give her clients the best outcome for whichever service she is providing. I highly recommend Maria and I will follow her wherever she goes.
