I went to the Ulta salon last week for a simple blowout before my bridal shower. I wanted to treat myself, but still stay within a holiday budget, so I checked the price ahead of time and made sure I had enough set aside for the service and a 25% tip. I booked with a stylist I didn’t know, and a few hours before my appointment I got a call saying she was unavailable and that someone else would take me. I figured that was no problem. When I arrived, the new stylist was very kind. I explained that I had my bridal shower that night. She mentioned the weather change and how it can affect hair, and recommended a deep conditioning treatment. Trusting her professional judgment, I agreed without thinking it would be a big additional cost. The service ended and my head felt cold, but I assumed the AC was just blowing hard. It wasn’t until checkout that I realized the deep conditioning treatment she suggested was almost the same price as the blowout itself. I was stunned. I’m an anxious person, so I paid the full amount and still tipped 25%—ending up spending almost double what I had planned. When I got home and told my fiancé what happened, he hugged me and immediately noticed the back of my head was still wet. I had to rush to re-dry and style my hair myself just to make it to my shower on time. My fiancé emailed Ulta right away. They said someone would respond within 24 hours, but three days went by with no reply. He then called and spoke to both the manager and the general manager, and was brushed off by both. They offered a partial refund but didn’t apologize for the experience. When he went in today to get the refund, he was again met with an unsympathetic attitude—and still no apology. The stylist was very nice, but the service itself was not. Suggesting an upcharge without being upfront about the price feels dishonest, especially for something that wasn’t even done properly. Even so, I probably wouldn’t be writing this review if someone—anyone—had shown a bit of remorse or professionalism. Instead, the lack of accountability from the salon is what pushed me to share my experience.

Samantha is a wonderful stylist and always gives me exactly what I want. She is friendly, doesn't ever rush, and the prices are more than fair. The ladies who work here are all very nice and helpful with products as well.

I got a blow out by Kriesten. It was amazing! Typically to get my hair smoothed it takes a lot of pulling and tugging! She was so gentle and I could not believe how smooth it was! Highly recommend!

Went in for a hair cut and some scalp treatment. April was my stylist. I had a specific hair length I wanted, even provided a picture. She cut my hair first, then we did the "Cécred Scalp Revival". After this, we go back to the chair, she blow dries, then proceeds to spray an INSANE amount of heat protectant. This left my hair feeling like it hadn’t been washed in weeks. I couldn’t stand the feel of my hair, so I went home and washed it. At that time.. I noticed that not only did she leave my hair feeling extremely dirty, my hair was VERY uneven, and I still had significantly long strands of hair. April and I had spoken about me coming back to do some color on Friday. After my findings.. I cancelled my Friday appointment. Not only is this place OVERPRICED for hair, but I spent $100 just to go spend MORE to get my hair fixed that this girl ruined! I’ll be calling in the morning.. so unbelievably dissatisfied. Editing to add: the scalp treatment does nothing. I still have build up on my scalp and flakiness. Which in the description says that’s what it’s for. The head massage? Didn’t happen. Just skip it honestly.

Worst experience I ever had in a simple cluttered store! I tried to purchase cologne for my husband for Christmas and no cashier would assist me in checking out. I will never go to any Ulta again, very poor service!!!! I will purchase the cologne for my husband at a better price at another business that appreciates my business.

It’s a great hair salon. Kriesten did a fantastic job and I love my new hair color. She is super professional and dedicated. Highly recommended.

This is a pleasant Ulta, but it's a bit dusty, and perfume testers are missing or leaky. The employees were helpful.
