Honestly I've been going here since there soft opening. And love the food/snacks and items that they sell. But I've been seeing bad reviews on here about people being racially profiled?? I go here on Sundays after work from Fullerton. and im a 6foot3 light skin Hispanic i do get stares from workers and sometimes security. But I brush it off and buy the things that I want to snack on before i bike back home. So Honestly I think most of these people who left bad reviews are just soft?? No offense but you people need to ignore the staff/security and buy what you want to get and enjoy your time. If I ever have a bad experience I will post a new review. ゚+.゚(*´∀`)b゚+.゚
Nice selection of snacks, k-beauty and knick knacks. It's always fun to look around and find unique items that you can't find at other markets. However, I went in today and bought a lip stain from peripera with the price tag of $8.99 but was charged $9.99. When I took a picture and showed the register, all she said was "We rose the price but the price tags are just not changed yet. A lot of the items are like that". Okay.... so why not update them??? If the price tags say one thing and you charge the customer differently, isn't that a scam??? I know the lip stain was only a $1 difference, but if I had bought 10 items with the different price tag then that's already $10 you guys are stealing from me.
I bought a Clio Kill Cover foundation today at this store and was charged 22.99 when the displayed price tag said 19.99. We asked the manager why that is, and he said different shades are different prices. Well, if that is so, then why aren't there multiple price tags for different shades? There was only one price tag displayed for the entire foundation line. That is false advertisement! People are buying these products, thinking they are paying one price, and then charged another. On top of that, I was looking through other reviews, and it seems another customer had the same experience, and the owner had responded, saying they would let their employees know and fix this situation. That was 2 MONTHS ago. Clearly they have not fixed this situation and seem like they will continue to scam their customers. If you plan to purchase from this store, please be wary and check your receipts. TERRIBLE BUSINESS
Neat little place with a bunch of Korean knick-knacks, snacks, skincare products, and random K-pop stuff. Weird that this place isn't in the official Source directory considering it's one of the busiest stores in the whole mall. I know I sound like a boomer when I say this and I am most definitely not one (closer to Gen A than the baby boomers), but it is so rare to be greeted with a smile when visiting almost any establishment these days. This is doubly the case when dealing with the younger generation. I appreciate the Hispanic gentleman's friendliness who was working the check-out line. Thanks for the pleasant experience and I hope you are appreciated by management.
The selection of items this store offers is amazing. I consider going into the store when I am at The Source to see what has been added, but I tend to a skip going now. This happens every time, as soon as I walk into the store, I feel the eyes of the employee on me. I’ll be looking around and as I am walking from one place to another, an employee tends to be following my every move. When I stop to look at something and look up, they pretend to be doing something or they turn around. I’ll go to another area in the store, and the same employee will be there too. I don’t see this happening with any of the Asian customers. They walk around and no one follows them. Really disappointing that as a Latina who loves checking out what other cultures have to offer, gets this treatment to the point where I feel really uncomfortable now. The store has plenty of cameras to catch any shoplifters if that’s what Seoul Stop is worried about.
I like this convenient store, from asian snacks and drinks to skincare and cosmetics. It's a nice store that has almost everything you might need in a rush. You have a headache but forgot aspirin, a travel size is here, and what caught my eye was the instant Ramen station. The cashier was sweet and informative. I did have a pleasant time shopping at the beginning even though it was busy and crowded. It's what happened at the Ramen section and security guard that I gave this review 3 stars. After purchasing my items, I was walking to the Ramen counter. I wanted to video the Ramen display, but within a second, a security guard at the door came up next to me and said, " YOU CAN'T TAKE PICTURES." Surprised, I said," No? oh ok, "I put down my phone and proceeded to the Ramen counter. As I saw many customers with their phone up taking pictures and videos in the store, I felt singled out. I didn't see any signs at the display not allowing videos and pictures, just a sign that said "SMILE you're on camera", but I felt the eyes of the security guard staring at me at the counter which made me uncomfortable, so sadly, I didn't video for my daughter like I planned to because I didn't want to be approached by the security again. When I left the store, I looked to see if there were any "no photo signs" at the entrance/exit. There were none. As I turned around near Ncat USA to look at the Seoul Stop, I caught him singling another woman with her phone up at the Ramen display, she turned and ended up almost stumbling into an aisle display. This "no photo/video taking" experience was a surprise to me, since there were IG contests where customer were able to submit photos of themselves at the store not so long ago, and also countless social media reels, pictures and videos from customers (this is how I found out about this place). If photos are not allowed, there should be signs at the doors and inside the store, especially at the Ramen display. This will prevent customers from being accosted by the security guards when they take out their phone to use the camera for any reason. I will post a few photos from the video to go along with my review since other customers have done so.
Nice little convenience store on the 2nd floor of the Source like the ones in Korea. Instant ramen, good snacks, make your own coffee, and Korean skin care products are all available. Oh and my favorite the strawberry milk! There is a good amount of tables to sit outside the store and enjoy the ramen.
