Raley's

I often bag my own groceries if I want to get out in a reasonable time. Now, thanks to the addition of self-checkout, they want me to work even harder for my groceries... If it was an addition to open checkout lanes I would be happy. In my two visits recent visits they have gone from the usual two checkout lanes to just one and the self-checkout.

Love shopping here. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Maybe a bit pricey but love the variety of products. The Bakery selections are scrumptious and a danger to my wallet.

Very nice and accommodating staff. The store was clean and organized.

You get two stars, because... Even though your checkouts are incredibly slow, employees stand around while lines extend down the product rows, and your meat counter staff are rarely around and then rude, store layout makes no sense, the other store on Main in Oakley is actually worse. You're around the corner from my house, I want to like you for the prices on products, but I would rather pay more for groceries for nicer staff interactions and quicker service.

Nice staff. They have a nice variety in the Asian section. This store stocks two of my favorite products - Angelo Pietro Salad Dressings and Yamasa soy sauce. East to find and plenty of parking.

I usually go to Raley’s to buy my fav coffee beans. Stumptown from Portland and Intelligentsia from Chicago. I used to order these online but Raley’s carry a huge variety for these brands and cheaper than online and best part you don’t have to wait for days for my fav coffee to arrive. I give 5 star for coffee selection and prices. Please try these two coffees out. You will not be disappointed.

Update: Yea!!! They finally installed a self-chekout machine. Sooooo much faster. Last time was the first time I had an amazingly smooth checkout. Thank you Raley's. Adding 2 more stars and making it 4 stars. Will reserve the 5 stars for later date since there still needs to be shopping experience improvements. -------------------------------------- Old review: I want to support my neighborhood grocery store but this Raley's makes it hard to do it. I like shopping here but waiting behind a long line and slow checkout discourages me. Though this store is walking distance to my home I prefer to drive to Safeway since the checkout out experience is faster. If they do not have enough employees then they should think of other solutions to make the checkout experience smoother. 15+ minutes just to pay for goods is not a great experience. very early mornings or late night shopping are the only times the checkout experience is fast.
