The old Asian lady gave me the wrong wig and I went to swap it out for the right one and the Asian guy denied me and told me that just because I complained about the wrong wig that he did not want to sell to me anymore. They don’t like us… go to the one in Hawkins plaza or across the street from Hawkins plaza. They are more professional and genuine

Not long ago, my mother and I visited your store for the first time after hearing positive things, and we were initially impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff. We purchased two items (that were previously placed on hold) along with several other items. The team was kind and attentive, and I was genuinely excited about the experience — so much so that I even commissioned a few of the talented stylists for upcoming editorial work and shared your business with industry colleagues. However, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment. Upon returning home yesterday, we realized that one of the items we received was not the correct color (which was a very honest mistake). We returned to the store right away with the item in its original packaging (with the tag placed inside) and our receipt, simply hoping to make an exchange. We were unaware of your return/exchange policy, and given the immediacy of our visit and the condition of the product, we assumed a resolution would be straightforward. Unfortunately, today we were met with an unexpectedly negative interaction. A staff member, whose name I believe is Jason, handled the situation in a way that felt condescending and dismissive. Rather than assisting us with professionalism or understanding, he was extremely rude. He eventually abruptly handed us a this item from the mannequin, stated "you’re taking that one," and walked away — leaving my mother visibly upset and in tears leaving the store. As a professional model working between NYC, Chicago and Cleveland with editorial credits in Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and more, I was excited to support a local business and had already begun referring colleagues and artists your way...especially ones who are looking for products and such for POC hair. This experience, however, has unfortunately changed that. The lack of empathy and professionalism shown during what could have been a simple exchange has left a lasting negative impression. I’d be disappointed to have anyone I recommend from such a high clientele come in and be treated in such a manner. While I’m grateful for the kindness we experienced from several staff members during our initial visit, I wanted to share this feedback in the hope that no other customer is made to feel the way we did.

Excellent variety, great prices, and friendly, knowledgeable staff! Always the right stop for wigs, funky fashion, and accessories!

My daughters have given this store MUCH business throughout the years, and the way my daughter was treated a couple weeks ago was so unprofessional - we will NEVER be back!!! My daughter had some items in her hand while shopping, and she set one of them down (admittedly not in the place she found it), and when she arrived at checkout, the lady was loud with her, asking where the said item was (which means she was following her or watching her on the cameras). My daughter said she sat it down but can’t remember what isle. The lady yelled at her and was almost accusing her of stealing a .99 cent item, and told her to go get it (almost as if she didn’t believe she had set it down). I wish I would have been there with her!!! We have been faithful customers and have always been super polite and friendly. They have lost our business and we will take it elsewhere, and we will be sure to let everyone know about this store. Horrible and unprofessional!!!

My favorite beauty Supply Store! I'm always able to find whatever hair supplies I need and the shelves are always well stocked

I was a first time customer in there, earlier this week, and I'm on my way back in today. Great news! I knew exactly what I wanted, and the lady in the wig department found it for me. I've recently gone bald, and searched their inventory for the perfect long, blonde locks. She was kind and respectful, and made it a very nice visit. I think Beauty Mart deserves another star, from a happy, new customer. Thank you!
