Customer Reviews
Boston King Coffee has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 based on over 430 reviews on Google
I’ve had a fantastic experience here. Their espresso is exceptionally good, with a rich and chocolaty flavor. They also offer Dutch Cold Brew, which we thoroughly enjoy. However, we miss the pour-over hour, which runs from 10 am to 12 pm. We were slightly late the last time we visited and hope to try their pour-over next time.
Walking into the café feels like stepping into a carefully preserved pocket of time. The first thing that draws your attention is the pair of towering glass brewers, slowly and elegantly producing cold drip coffee. Their graceful presence, paired with the intoxicating aroma of freshly ground beans, makes it nearly impossible to resist ordering more than one cup. And if that weren’t enough, the café also offers siphon-brewed coffee—a rare spectacle in California, where legal restrictions have nearly erased this enchanting method from the scene. But the charm doesn’t stop at brewing techniques. The café takes pride in offering an impressive range of machines and an equally diverse selection of beans, giving the impression of a place that is both passionate and meticulous about its craft. The interior is just as thoughtfully designed: romantic vintage décor, paired with nostalgic, timeworn music, slows the pace of life. Here, time stretches, and all that remains is the quiet joy of savoring a cup of coffee. The food deserves its own spotlight. Take the sandwiches, for example—clean, fresh, and satisfyingly flavorful. They are prepared with such care that there’s no messy dripping or greasy aftertaste, just lightness and balance that elevate a simple bite into something memorable. What truly surprised me, though, was the café’s relationship with its regulars. Even on a crowded day when the line stretched long, staff members called out several customers by name before they even placed their orders. That kind of warm familiarity can’t be faked—it speaks of a café deeply rooted in its community, a place where people don’t just drink coffee, but belong. And just when I thought I’d noticed every detail, there was one last revelation: their iced coffee comes with ice cubes made from coffee itself, not ordinary water. As the cubes melt, the drink doesn’t lose its strength—instead, the flavor deepens. It’s a small but brilliant touch, proof that this café doesn’t just serve coffee; it creates an experience worth remembering.
My review is solely based on the older woman who takes your order. We found her not friendly, she doesn’t seem to have any patience for questions about the coffees with us, and I noticed it with the person in front of us. I believe his name is Patrick that makes the coffee. He is wonderful a complete delight, so courteous so kind. He made an excellent cappuccino. The woman upfront needs some kind kindness.
Pete is amazing. I'm not a coffee drinker but I started once I came here. So fresh so good. The food is amazing as well. My wife goes every morning now.
This is literally my new FAVORITE place in town. Walking into this shop feels like walking into a 90s romcom. The music is spot-on (literally straight out of a Nancy Meyers/Nora Ephron soundtrack) the ambiance is cozy and festive, and of course, the food and coffee is very good. Service is so great and everyone is kind. The owner is often in and is very friendly as well. The kind of person that meets and recognizes the regular visitors. It has that idyllic small business vibe that is so hard to find nowadays. I know I will be back many many times - happy to support a business like this.
Staff was very friendly and featured a father & son. A bigger display showing the differences of available beans would be helpful for customers to decide. The siphon coffee was delicious but was so hot in plastic coffee cups.
I got the Kyoto matcha and Tuscan meatball sub. Matcha was very fresh and not too sweet. Meatball sub was fire. The bread was soft, they added a lot of meat and sauce. Very nice staff. Great place to have lunch.
