Samurai Sushi

Stopped here on a road trip cause I was craving sushi and I fear we will have to stop every time. Service was great, friendly people. Beware sushi rolls are HUGE. But everything tasted so fresh and yummy!! Spicy tuna crispy rice was our fave! Definitely recommend it’s so worth it.

Next time you’re headed back to LA from Vegas, make a pit stop over to Victorville’s favorite sushi place: Samurai Sushi. Voted best sushi in the city and I can see why. We stopped over for lunch to try some of their great specials. Started off with the yellowtail sashimi topped with jalapeño, cilantro, and ponzu. Along with Peter’s appetizer of fresh tuna wrapped with cucumber, sweet onion, and radish sprout. The Monday roll specials are on point. Ordered up the Alaska roll with the deep fried salmon on top and also the ninja roll. The portions were huge and full of flavor. For the main courses we picked up the lunch special udon with California roll, lunch special udon with sushi, and the salmon teriyaki with tempura. It’s absolutely delicious and the best deal in town. Make sure you take a break from the traffic and fill up at Samurai Sushi in Victorville on your next trip.

There was no wait for a table and we were brought menus quickly. The waitress was very friendly and answered my groups questions. The place is small but not cramped, its best suited for groups of 3-4 people. After placing our order we were served fairly quickly and as one plate finished another was ready to take its place. Overall pleasant experience and good food.

First time there. Since moving to the High Desert, I've been to several Sushi restaurants each not to par with what I'm use to from the San Diego area. Not until today. So happy to now say, this Sushi restaurant is truly worth visiting.

Don’t let the outside fool you—this place is a true road-trip gem. The sushi is fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly high quality, with superb chefs behind the counter. Service is excellent, and the walls filled with local photos give it a welcoming, hometown vibe. If you’re passing through Victorville and want tasty, well-made sushi, definitely stop here. A real gem. And it beats all the fast food junk lining the roads.

I visit Samurai Sushi often, and I'm finally writing a review now. I often see many people sitting and enjoying their meals at the restaurant. The consistently appropriate amount of rice topped with large pieces of sushi is always enough to impress both those who eat it and those who see it. The recommended sushi rolls that change daily also allow diners to try a variety of options, which I find very satisfying. Although I don't order it often, I highly recommend the Hwe Dup Bap (sashimi rice bowl) if you want a filling meal with plenty of vegetables, large cuts of fish, and rice. The friendly staff and fast service are also satisfying. I highly recommend it!
