I went for lunch and really wanted to love this place, but the food ultimately landed somewhere in the middle for me. It wasn’t bad by any means, just not memorable. The service, however, was excellent. Our waiter checked in on us multiple times, was genuinely attentive, and the food came out quickly, which I really appreciated. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich with a side Caesar salad. The chicken parm was the highlight — good tang in the sauce and nicely seasoned breading, though it was a little on the dry side. The Caesar salad was pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I also tried one of the limited-time health juice options, which wasn’t for me at all, though I can see how others might enjoy it. Overall, great service and a pleasant experience, but the food didn’t quite live up to the hype for me.

I am glad we had breakfast here to set-off our week-long road trip up North. My mom ordered the pancakes with bananas, the pancakes were huge so she shared some with me. Son had the Giovanni omelette, I tried a piece and it was flavorful. My brother and sister both ordered tallow fried chicken and waffles each. The fried chicken and seasoned well and the waffles were delicious. Sis-in-law had the burrata scrambled eggs and I had the bacon flight. Food was good all around, we had enough to share and taste each other’s orders. Service was courteous and efficient. We opted for outside seating on a gorgeous and crisp October morning. Paid street parking, free parking a few blocks down is also available. There was only one restroom and it was gender neutral.

Immigrant Son Cafe in Ventura is a must-visit! The bacon here is absolutely unreal—seriously, don't miss it. We also loved the tasty holiday coffee drinks. Best of all, it’s dog-friendly, so we could bring our pup along. Big thanks to our server, Alvaro, for the excellent service!

Nice little cafe, great outdoor seating. The food was very tasty, and the service was nice. A little overpriced, particularly for the salads, but a cute spot overall.

Loved the atmosphere, service, and especially the food with awesome gluten free options. AND… seed oil free!!! Our new favorite cafe for breakfast and lunch in Ventura! So much thought in every detail here.

One bite of the chicken parmigiana and the richness of the sauce instantly unlocked a flood of childhood memories with my Italian family—pure Ratatouille moment (seriously!). The espresso? Bold and perfectly balanced. The breakfast lasagna? A comforting, flavor-packed masterpiece. And the service? Warm, attentive, and truly elevated—Luis in particular was exceptionally kind. Honestly, this spot outshines many Michelin-rated breakfast places I’ve been to. If only we had a gem like this in Miami 🙌🏻
