Its easy to miss this Union City branch of a modern Hong Kong style cafe as there are no loud posters or ads advertising what's inside. But if you do manage to go inside for a meal you'll be pleasantly surprised. The dining room is small but functional and made smaller by the darker atmosphere. No surprises in their menu but do try the rice cube dish where they mold rice into a box and deep fry it before stuffing it with beef brisket stew or curry chicken. Get the beef version, its better. Its a visually unique dish worth trying. From what we had and looking at what others ordered portions are generous and tastes pretty good. If you're in the area and interested in having some Hong Kong style chinese food, give Baby Cafe a try. Its not bad, not bad at all.

Been to this place a few times. Much better than the one in San Leandro. Although this one is smaller than the one in San Leandro the food taste better. The service too. Overall a good place to grab some HK style dishes.

Good value. Found out about this place from a former colleague (shout out to Sunny). It’s what you want from a Hong Kong style cafe.

We girls came here to eat dessert and girls chat. The Cantonese desserts are delicious , taro with purple rice ( warm ) , coconut with mango / sago and purple rice ( cold ) , mango with sago ( cold ) all good !

Their menu is a bit extensive. Lots of choices but a little confusing. They are all written in chinese with english translation below it but very small and hard to read. The pictures of the food plate has no corresponding numbers, so it is difficult to know the name of the dish. Our waiter is very attentive and provides good service. I ordered the creamy Seafood Pan Fried Udon. It has Shrimps, one small piece of scallops and few chunks of imitation crabs. I’m not happy that they used imitation crab on this dish. This dish is not very appetizing. My friend ordered the Tom Yum Rice Noodle Soup. My friend hardly touched it after he tasted it. Most likely wont be back in this restaurant ever again .

This place is not that big but very cozy with plenty of parking on site. Staff was so nice and helpful and their desserts came out quickly. Will be back soon to try their food!

My kids like the Kimchi fried rice of this place so we decided to try as the whole family for dinner. The place is quite packed for a Friday night. The prices are quite reasonable, the service is a little slow at time. My daughter tried the sizzling short ribs, it wasn’t sizzling, cold actually and the ribs was tasteless with still rib raw smell. She didn’t eat but a few bites. I felt sorry for her and let her to order something else, some spicy baby squids and fish balls deep fried, she said the squid was ok but the fish balls were salty. Then she tried the most expensive dessert ever, bread ice scream and it’s good with large portion. By herself, she blew over $40 for her dinner. My son was safe by ordering his favorite Fried rice. My wife ordered the house special noodles soup and she said it was ok. I ordered the beef stew chow mein and it was quite tasty. This is catered for young and specific clientele who know the food well. I’m not going to return unless I want the beef stew, but most Chinese restaurants have great beef stew. Anyhow, the kids like trendy food and I do see many young people there.
