The Juicy Crab Tuscaloosa

LATE UPDATE for 12/27/2025 - I called the restaurant after my original review and "T" told me to come in the next day at 12pm. I went and they made me a fresh batch of my leftovers. And EVERY staff member was so kind to me and knew why I was there. DELICIOUS! Thank you for the GREAT service. 12/26/25 - I dined for about 1 to 1.25 hours and "T" was my waitress. I had a shark tank, calamari, the December special, and hush puppies. My sauce was "The Juicy Special" with mild spice. Service was GREAT. "T" explained everything from drinks to which meal would best suite my desire. She checked on me frequently and brought any and everything promptly. She packaged my leftovers and bagged them, all at tableside. Now, imagine my dismay 3 hours later after I ran a bunch of errands and, FINALLY, get home...with NO LEFTOVERS. Here I am all set for those hush puppies. I realized that I leaned against my car before I went across the street to go into the next store, but I NEVER opened the car to put my food in. UGH!

It had been at least 2 years since I've eat here..but my daughter & her friends love it. So she wanted to come celebrate her Sweet 16.. so I've visited here 3 times b/t May 7 & June 6... May 7 (7pm) everything was good... service, food, drinks; visited May 23 (6pm) & the drinks were nasty, the food wasn't great & the server MIA alot..then today June 6 (9pm), the floor was so slippery, it felt disgusting to walk on, food was good, we had water to drink & our server seemed new but tentative. Its really a hit or miss! I gave it a 4 🌟 for average of all 3 visits!

It's been a since I've eaten juicy crab their seasoning has gotten a lot better 😋 but they still over cook their shrimp 🦐 that's the only down side about them 🤷🏾‍♀️but Hey their prices are fair enough

Always a great meal! Seasoned to perfection. Every time I get a crab boil here I always want more! They know how to leave your belly full! Juicy special w a kick of hot. I'll be returning soon for more succulent shrimp!

not going to leave a bad review for one bad experience out of many, but my husband and i were at juicy crab tonight earlier and they had music so unbelievably loud the people couldnt understand us or properly take our order and we couldnt even hear eachother right next to one another, they were obviously understaffed and as that is unfortunate we are not upset, we usually receive amazing service but tonight was not one of those nights, we got home and after we showered we realized one of his ears was bleeding. music was not even good. if we wanted to go somewhere that had the vibe there was we wouldve went straight to a strip club, weve come probably over 30 times in the past year now and never had this type of an experience, not even trying to be a karen or look for a free meal, maybe try turning the music down so the servers are capable of doing a good job, or have it posted so people who dont want to listen can order to-go. im sure it effects everyones tips. also get a new dj that plays music for every culture

First off I want to say thank you to the manager who was there that night. I was in Tuscaloosa for the day and wanted to sit and eat, they were closing in an hour and her staff was all busy. She personally took care of me and I appreciated that so much. She was nice and didn’t rush me as I knew they would close in an hour. I forgot to get her name, but she worked the night shift on 4/24. Thank you so much to that manager. Now to the food, the food was good I enjoyed the shrimp and crawfish I got. Their wings were good as well, I was pleasantly surprised. Good food, I had a great experience.

We had an excellent experience. The spice levels are good and accurate. I had a broil with shrimp and crab legs. Eggs are extra, but the sausage and potatoes are standard. No kid friendly menu... Yes, some children require their own meal, but not as much as an adult. Our waitress was very helpful and honest. She forgot to place our order in a timely manner, but she was honest about it, so it did not effect her tip.. yes, integrity means a lot in my world. Restaurant was decorated nicely for the fall season... Each table skipped for social distancing, had a cute Halloween theme. Will visit again.
