Panera Bread

I went by and picked up lunch from Panera Tuscaloosa on my way back to work. As always, the customer service was great, everyone was helpful/friendly/courteous. The review is not about the staff it’s about the food quality. I spent $25 for a salad and a fruit cup! Panera is expensive and I was aware before I went there. I don’t mind paying. But when I spend my money, with those prices, I’d expect ALL my lettuce to be fresh, not beginning the decomposing process!

I ordered the Creamy Tomato Soup and a Frontega Chicken Sandwich (customized without cheese—because I’m lactose intolerant) as part of the You Pick Two combo, with a cup of water. The sandwich was still flavorful, smoky, and satisfying, and the soup was the perfect warm comfort I was craving. But what really stood out was the customer care. Before leaving, I asked to purchase a cherry Danish—not for dessert, but to enjoy as a treat the next morning. The way the team responded truly made my night. One of the staff members asked with sincerity: "Which Danish would you like?" That small question made a big impact. Being given the chance to choose my own Danish felt thoughtful, respectful, and a little bit VIP. It’s the little things that stick with you—the way a team listens, honors your dietary needs, and adds kindness to a simple meal. From the clean, calming atmosphere to the intentional service, Panera continues to get it right. Thank you to the team for nourishing both body and spirit. Ordered a chicken Caesar salad through Uber eats and it shows up with no Caesar dressing, none on the salad and none on the side. How does that happen?? According to the receipt , no one checked my order. So frustrating and Completely unacceptable.

I ordered broccoli soup, it tased good with the baguette bread. Also ordered a grilled cheese. It was just baked cheese toast. Service was okay. Not particularly my favorite.

The person at the register did not know what to do. They had no coffee, no soft drinks, no sweet tea. The place was dirty and looked like it was falling apart. For Panera charges I expect better...especially something to drink. Thankfully my food was good.

I would like to just say that whoever is checking the delivery orders, needs to be dealt with. I ordered a half chipotle chicken avocado melt, a cup of broccoli cheddar soup, and a French baguette with a large sweet tea. The dasher brought it to me quickly and my bag was still sealed up. I open it and my sandwich is completely missing. I called the dasher and she told me to call the store because they cannot check the bags. The associate I spoke to said the only thing I could do is come and pick it up. Only problem is, I’m working a 12 hour shift today and cannot leave work. Thanks Panera.

Food was great . Came out quick .. however the dining area needs a lot of attention. Trash full dishes have not been taken away condiment area needs stocked as well as napkins. This was at 215 pm on October 30 2024. It was not busy so I think this was just no one wanted to deal with it..
