New favorite place in Tacoma! The pastries are incredible!! The cranberry orange danish is out of this world! I had the breakfast hash and loved it. Atmosphere is so cute - there’s not a ton of seating though. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back.

I stopped by Three Hearts Bakery after seeing Tacoma food writer Meg Van Huygen say that "anything croissant-y is going to be amazing" — and she’s absolutely right about that. The curry croissant and the classic croissant were both excellent: flaky, beautifully layered, and deeply satisfying. These are clearly the bakery’s strengths. Unfortunately, the sourdough bread didn’t work for me. It was unusually difficult to cut and chew, and the interior felt a bit too wet for my taste. The biggest disappointment, however, was the coffee caramel cheesecake. It tasted old and overly firm, with very little coffee flavor — mostly just sweetness without depth. It was the first time in my life I’ve thrown away a piece of cheesecake. I truly hope they can improve the cheesecake, because their croissants show they’re capable of excellent baking. I’ll gladly return for the pastries, but will skip the bread and cheesecake for now.

This place feels like there’s love in every detail. This is an order at the counter, they’ll bring you your food kind of establishment. Coffee was superb. I got a simple latte and it was perfect. The food does not come out fast, but it comes out yummy and well presented. And hot! The savory breakfast sandwich was delicious without being greasy or heavy. The pastry selection feels like they’re determined to have something for everyone, while still honoring creativity. Very positive experience. Not crowded at 7 am on a Saturday.

Stopped by on a Thursday around 8am. After looking over the menu, stepped up to the counter to place our order. Cappuccino was quite good with a nice flower design poured into the surface with milk. Waited about 20 mins for our breakfast order. Two scrambled eggs were not served hot but just warm because they sat around waiting for the cooks to complete the order for the table. The Huevos Rancheros were disappointing because the black beans were over-cooked and the avocados were tasteless and more grey than green because they were over-ripe and not fresh. The chorizo pieces did not taste good and were filled with big pieces of fat throughout. The eggs tasted good and the house-fried tortillas were crispy and tasty We also ordered a croissant and a couple pastries which were tasty but a bit over-cooked. Overall, we were a bit disappointed with the food served at this very informal breakfast place – we will not be back.

Very busy place! Nice cafe with pretty decent brunch options. The food was pretty good, not amazing. The coffee was likewise. One odd thing was that they served hot coffee in what looks like a water glass. They should definitely have more appropriate glasses, if for nothing else than protecting your hand. Get there early if you want a table, or the standing eating bar had a few spots open while I was there, even though the line was out the door.

Went in looked over the menu, was greeted nicely and promptly. Asked for the pulled pork unfortunately they were out of that, so I got the brisket, a grilled cheese with fried for my kid, coco, chai coffee, and chocolate croissant that ran up to be about 55.00. kinda pricey especially once I got my brisket sandwich I was disappointed, it was a lot of bread, and lettuce with just a thin shredded piece of brisket. Very blant, and over cooked meat. The croissant was lovely, grilled cheese was just that a simple sandwich. They had high chairs, and silverware all grab yourself kinda deal....I understand the vibe but as a mom I don't want to pay that much and have to tame my kid, set my table, get my chair, get the crayons and the color page....a little more service/help would have been appreciated.

This was great. Definitely have their own unique vibe. The guy that took was very kind and welcoming. The food was fantastic! I recommend the Cruffins. Had some highchairs for the little ones as well.
