⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This Korean BBQ restaurant was very well organized and extremely clean, which made the dining experience even better. The AYCE Korean BBQ was delicious. We ordered the brisket and thin-sliced pork belly, and both were fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The side dishes were amazing, especially the Doenjang-jjigae soup and the egg bomb. They were much better than what we’ve had at other AYCE Korean BBQ places and really stood out. Our server, Jeson, was amazing and provided outstanding service throughout the meal. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We had a great experience overall and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

My first visit to Makchang Dodook K-BBQ in Springfield was incredible! We arrived late for dinner and still received amazing service. The meats especially the thin pork belly, marinated chicken, and fresh seafood were high-quality and tasted fantastic. Even late at night, the staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. The restaurant was also very clean. If you’re looking for fresh, delicious AYCE K-BBQ with great service, this place is a must-try! 😋🙌🔥

Awesome food and great people! Daniel, Da-min, Kin, and manager Chad were fantastic, they definitely made my birthday dinner a great experience. Food was delicious! Ordered regular AYCE and added premium portion and it was definitely premium. You could see the marbling on the LA Galbi ribs, fantastic! Everyone in my group said they will come again and so will my wife and I. Parking is great, so no worries there.

The potential for a great AYCE experience is here, thanks to the high quality of the food. Unfortunately, our dinner was undermined by a series of frustrating restaurant policies that made the meal slow and a middling value for the price. Pros: The quality of the meats was excellent. The thick-cut pork belly was a standout, and the large intestine was a pleasant surprise. Cons: 1) Restaurant policy says that we could only order two meats at a time, and that we couldn't order the next round until finishing what we had. This rule caused us to have to wait 5-10 minutes between orders - i.e. just sitting around, nothing to eat or cook. 2) Our friendly server was required by management to cook for us. Unfortunately, she seemed new and wasn't set up for success. Our heat was constantly turned down to the minimum, meaning that our cook times were long and our meats not having any Maillard reaction... the marinated ribs were very sadly grey. 3) We were charged for a Melona popsicle that wasn't listed on the menu, which we had assumed was a complimentary dessert as is common in many KBBQ places. 4) We ran into a minor billing issue (partially our fault), but management was unwilling to directly help resolve it. For $40 per person, we expected to leave stuffed and satisfied. Instead, due to the slow pace forced by the restaurant's policies, we only managed to get through a few rounds of meat in 90 minutes. I have been eating AYCE KBBQ for decades and have never left feeling barely full and disappointed as I was after my dinner at Makchang Dodook.

We went to this place for lunch today hoping to enjoy some good Korean food. The food wasn’t terrible, but definitely not good enough to recommend. Both soups had way too much egg in them compared to the same soups we’ve had at other Korean restaurants. However, the service was truly disappointing. The server brought us the wrong order not once, not twice, not three times, but four times. At one point, she even asked, "Are you sure you didn’t order this?" We had ordered three dishes, one of them being seafood pancakes, but she brought something completely different. When we politely said it wasn’t what we ordered, she insisted again. On the fourth time, another staff member came over in an aggressive tone, saying they couldn’t take the food back. We calmly repeated that it wasn’t our order. He then scolded the server, who apologized and said she would pay for the mistake herself. We felt so bad for her. What surprised us most was that no one apologized to us afterward, they just avoided our table. One male server even stood from a distance, staring and giving us dirty looks. The whole experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. We regret choosing this place and plan to share our experience in the neighborhood group so others can avoid going through the same thing.

We chose the all-you-can-eat lunch special, with a fantastic selection of meats including pork, beef, chicken, pork intestine, and generous and delicious side dishes. It's undoubtedly one of the best all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spots in northern Virginia, showcasing high-quality meat and exceptional service. The ambiance is pristine and well-organized, and we were pleasantly surprised to leave without smelling like BBQ thanks to the strong air suction. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable Korean BBQ experience with endless choices and outstanding flavors!

I want to start by saying the service was absolutely amazing and that Chad E was a really great server and answered all my questions l, made sure our drinks were full and on top of making sure we had plenty of food. I would highly recommend him as your waiter. We got the Ultimate AYCE and from my understanding everything is fresh and the prime meats are cut to order. They gave us a very big ribeye steak, the beef ribs and galbi were great too. You could just tell the quality of the meat was better here. The marinade is a bit on the sweeter side
