Ombu Grill and Hot Pot

I like Ombu Hot Pot near Chinatown SLC and was excited that finally they open this location near my place. I went there on the Christmas Eve as it is one of the very few restaurants opened that day. The servers were nice and the service was good. Although, the food bar was pretty empty on the cooked food and dessert section. Their meat and side dishes selections are very small compared to a few other hot pot places I have been to lately. The soup was ok but I think it’s not as flavorful as the one in downtown. The side dishes was got was ok, again very average. Overall, I don’t mind coming back (maybe on regular days they will take a better care of the food bar) but if I crave for hot pot and don’t mind driving, I would probably go to downtown.

Definitely a spot to go if you're a big eater. Everything is fresh and delicious. Everyone is friendly and professional. Definitely recommend for the price. You Definitely get your money's worth of food. This is my first time. I will be coming back.

We came here for hotpot and kbbq dinner and had such a great time! The food was really fresh with lots of options, very worth it for the buffet price. Wonderful service as well – the servers were very friendly and attentive! A fun highlight was winning a plushie from the claw machine in just two tries! So glad we checked this place out, definitely coming back soon 😊

My family loved this place. The hot pot cooking was a great experience, the food was definitely unique and varied. Many exotic seafood options (octopus, squid, shrimp, fish types). I'm not much of a fish person, so I stuck to the beef and chicken and veggie options. The all you can eat buffet makes it a delight for nearly everyone. If you've never been to a hot pot dining, Be ready for a completely different dining experience, with some exotic Japanese cuisine.

i came here with a group of family members and our experience was horrible! we have been to the other Ombu locations so we didn’t expect anything different at this one. We got both hotpot and grill items and it took over 45 minutes of us asking for our grill items to be sent to our table! the items they do cook also came out cold. the kitchen workers also put our food on the very bottom of their cart, closest to the ground. safe to say we won’t be eating at this location again!

I really like this place. The environment is comfortable and the service is excellent. We chose the hot pot and barbecue combo. The food was fresh, with a wide variety of options and reasonable prices. It's a great place for a group meal.

One of my favorite places to eat in Utah. The service is always great. The food is good and fresh. The drinks are amazing; I love their milk tea.
