Very chill restaurant with great food, no complaints on the service. We had two types of chicken #11 and #9 with basil and they were both very tasty. Portions are are large.

Mandalay is one of our favorite go to spots in downtown Silver Spring. The Burmese food is always on point with bold flavors and great portions. Every dish we’ve tried has been delicious, and the service feels warm and relaxed. The vibe is comfortable and friendly, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. We always leave happy and already planning our next visit. If you haven’t tried it yet you should definitely go! Owned by such lovely people.

Good restaurant in need of a good face-lift. People are nice, service is good, and food is decent, but I just cannot overlook the decor of the restaurant which looks like it was frozen in time from the 80s. The saving grace is a shrine to Buddha, so giving an extra star in terms of atmosphere for that alone. But this could be much better, if only... 🥲 🙏🙏🙏

I love this place! Very tasty. It is a very unique asian cuisine, different from what we usually have, like Japanese or Chinese food. If you like something you cannot get everywhere, come here. Do not expect good service at all. Actually that is a plus to me. Usually, if you do not see smiles on their faces in an Asian restaurant, you know you come to the right place.

Pictured is - Sunday Special Dan Pout - Pork curry - Nan Gyi tote noodle salad. I highly recommend the Dan Pout. The chicken was so soft and tender! I do wish it came with a little more rice. Everything else was good. My only complain is the Nan Gyi tote is not authentic noodle type, this was just a regular noodle salad. Everything was nonetheless still delicious. It's been awhile since i've had Burmese food and it was so good.

The food and service here have always been really good. We’ve been here several times and loved them before they closed down, so I’m very glad to see that they’ve reopened. The price is extremely reasonable for the portion, and the food is amazing. Nothing is too spicy, salty or greasy. And the service has always been very friendly and attentive. Some people have complained that the environment seems "cheap" for the price you pay, but I disagree. It’s obvious that they put attention and effort into their food and service rather than making the place fancy and uncomfortable. The whole experience is very welcoming, comforting and satisfying, I’d definitely keep coming back.

Great takeout! We had the beef potato curry and the pork noodle with egg and both were absolutely delicious! The samosa appetizer was nice bang for your buck and super tasty. Quick and easy, I'm definitely coming back to try more! Inside wasn't open for sit down dining so we order to-go and it was ready within 10 mins. The inside is very plain and kinda run down, but take out was fantastic. Edit: ate in the dining room for dinner with a big group and it's even better in person! The place is clearly family run with great attention to detail. Absolutely delicious! This will be a staple in the neighborhood for sure!
