Cafe K

The first thing I noticed upon entering Cafe K is the meticulous attention to detail in the decor. Everything about the place is lovely. We sat inside, but I noticed the very nice outdoor area as well. The service was prompt and friendly. My group ordered pancakes, French toast, Bulgarian Shakshuka and Fettuccine Alfredo. I tasted it all, and it was all delicious. Honestly, it’s one of the nicest restaurants I’ve been to. Definitely will return.

Really great to have a top-notch, kosher milchig restaurant in the DMV. Food was excellent and presentation and ambiance were noted and much appreciated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even the chef spoke to us though it helped we came closer to opening. Butter Tikka masala salmon was adjusted spiciness for those more accustomed to Eastern European cuisine, but was still quite delectable.

If you’re in Downtown Silver Spring and haven’t been to Café K yet you’re missing out. It’s that cozy, bright corner café that somehow makes your morning better the second you walk in. The service is quick but never rushed, and everyone behind the counter actually smiles...which is nice for a change. My husband and I stop by for breakfast almost every weekend; their coffee and pancakes hit every time. Lunch is great too.....simple, fresh, and made with a lot of care. You just feel really good being there.

My family and I had one of the best meals I have ever eaten at Cafe K. The salmon marsala was beyond superb. Our son had phenomenal sea bass, and his wife had an amazing tuna with pasta. The atmosphere is lovely, with nice music in the background. The service is friendly, We only have the ravest of reviews to offer.

I finally visited Café K for the first time and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent, the service was great, and the ambiance was wonderful as well. (The decor is modern, the vibe is great, and the mirrored walls in the front make the space feel like it’s even bigger when it’s already a good size. Plus there’s great outdoor seating which we’ll have to take advantage of next time.) I went with my wife for a quick lunch and it was exactly what we needed—beginning with our food coming promptly, right up until them getting us the check expeditiously because we were in a rush to leave to make it on time to a camp pickup. Shai, Tara, Dan, and the rest of the staff took great care of us—and we can’t wait to come again! (P.S. the Pretzel Truffle [pictured] is HIGHLY recommended!)

From the moment we walked in, it was obvious that an incredible amount of thought, care, and intention goes into every single detail. The ambiance was beautiful and elevated, and the personalized seating cards welcoming each table were such a thoughtful touch that immediately set this place apart. The menu is truly one of a kind, and every dish that arrived was both exceptional in flavor and visually stunning. The service was just as impressive. The servers and owners checked in on us multiple times, genuinely invested in making sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find a restaurant where outstanding service, top-tier quality, and an exceptional guest experience are so clearly the top priority. Cafe K is the kind of restaurant that stays with you long after you leave — we cannot wait to return and cannot recommend them enough.

Cafe K had such a warm and lovely ambience with absolutely the best chefs and dishes both for breakfast and dinner! At dinner I had an incredible beet carpaccio appetizer with the grilled red snapper on risotto. Every detail was meticulous and the chef made this meal one of the most memorable I've ever had! Highly, highly recommend this Cafe for an out of this world experience!
