Somisomi

Wow. The soft serve (ube milk swirl) was probably the best I’ve ever had. The cone with Nutella was amazing. I also got Oreo dust which added a good flavor as well. Would like go back to see if I can buy a pint or two of their ice cream. I think the price was good too. Definitely come here

Excellent food, reasonably priced, quick service for how crowded it was, and the employees were very friendly. It was the best soft serve I’ve ever had, and the taiyaki was incredible.

If one loves taiyaki and Asian flavors of soft serve ice cream, then this is the place in San Mateo area. This shop is located in B Street where the area feels like a "food" street and is an excellent place for dessert. Witha bigger sized party, We tried the super cute fish shaped waffle "upside" and "upside down" versions plus the whole fish versions. I love the soft serve since it comes with added filling of tot choice inside the waffle plus the soft serve… a double flavor bomb 👍. Staff team was excellent despite being super busy. Perfect place to grab a dessert after a meal on B Street. Totally worth the trip 😎

Just delicious. I ordered an ube soft serve with an Ah Boong (fish waffle) on the side. The Ah Boong is warm and fresh, simultaneously soft and crispy, and the ice cream is flavorful and the perfect amount. I inhaled the entire thing within 5 minutes, it was just that good. The ube soft serve is not the best I've had, but it's still good, and that's probably because of my personal tastes. I think it is worth the price. The location is convenient too, right in Downtown San Mateo! Overall, I will come again. 4/5.

Such a great experience. They have great soft serve flavors to go with the taiyaki and so many filling options. They also have a good amount of soft serve toppings to choose from! The filled taiyaki come hot and crispy and are just so good. You can get either 2 or 5 and mix the flavors

I can't believe I haven't noticed SomiSomi for the past few years that I was in the area. I love their Taiyaki!! It's so much better than the traditional one. I especially love the one with the sesame filling. I have yet to try a few more flavors, and I can't wait. The soft serve was excellent too. Unlike a lot of the water-down ones out there, SomiSomi's tasted really creamy. I loved it! The taiyaki on the top, with the other toppings made it even better. My friends and I enjoyed our food so much that we forgot to take pictures of them, lol. I also love how the place was roomy and clean, and the customer service was very friendly. All in all, totally love this place.

This somisomi is good, I feel a bit bad for the employees since it’s always one person manning the whole store. However, they don’t compromise on quality or service, but I imagine it can be busy for them. We came to celebrate a coworker’s birthday! Had the guava and it was pretty light and mostly tasted like vanilla. The mango milk is also a tasty combination for soft serve! They added milk tea and had banana milk seasonally! Also tried sweet corn, cookies and cream, and milk!
