Food tastes great. Food is made to order, so it arrives hot. And I like that they open early (10AM), which is rare these days unless it's a diner-style restaurant. But portions are super small for the price. There was barely any meat on the plate, mostly rice.

Had a lovely lunch at thanh thanh cafe - staff were so friendly and we loved all the vegetarian and vegan options - the vegan curry noodle soup was incredible (they made it less spicy for me) and the shaking mushroom was also delicious especially the sauce on the side - absolutely would recommend!

Good food, friendly service, seating outside, and decent prices. I asked for pork and shrimp vermicelli while they only had either one on the menu. They did it for me for the same price.

Really good Vietnamese food, with a lot of vegan options. The vegan Bò Lúc Lác, made with mushroom, is excellent as appetizer.

Family-run, cozy little place with super friendly staff and a clean, no-frills vibe that's perfect for solo meals, quick lunches, or casual hangs. Pho broth is clear, deeply flavorful with that signature anise-forward kick that's not overpowering, served piping hot, decent portions, and tender rare beef in the pho tai that melts in your mouth. House special noodle soup and chicken noodle options get tons of love too. My standing order is the Bun Rieu, which is a tomato-based broth loaded with crab paste, fluffy pork/crab chunks, fresh veggies, and that perfect tangy-spicy umami loaded balance. Their Banh mi is generously stuffed, fresh, has earned a spot as my go to banh mi on Clement street. I can vouch for the vegan shaken mushroom appetizer which is a crispy, garlicky, innovative twist on shaken beef, imperial rolls/chả giò, a perfect crispy appetizer, wrap 'em with lettuce and noodles for the full experience. Vegan items are clearly labeled and solid (tofu vermicelli, veg curry noodle soup). Portions are generous, prices stay reasonable—full pho or combo under $20 easy. It can get busy during peak lunch/dinner on Clement (waits possible, but turns over quick), and street parking is the usual hunt—circle or use nearby lots. But none of that dims how consistently excellent it is. Authentic, flavorful, comforting Vietnamese that punches above its weight.

Henry was so wonderful and personable! We loved the waiters & honestly it’s so hard to find a place with good service with people who are actually down to earth and kind! The service was rapid, and the broth was yummy! The size was very big for a medium and the prices were definitely decent! Honestly, we’ll definitely come back just because of the amazing service from Henry and the others 🙂 seems to be a local spot for those close by in the neighborhood!!!

I've now ordered from this establishment six times and can confidently say they make the BEST tofu sandwich in SF. Seasoned perfectly, even if you're not a fan of tofu you’ll love theirs. The Thai tea is delicious too. I
