Matcha Cafe Maiko

This cafe is really cozy and nice! The banana matcha drinks were really good, def worth trying at least once. Self serve kiosk is nice and staff were chill.

I will dream of the Banana Pudding Matcha forever. ♥️🍌 Their Matcha quality is insane and is 100% worth it. Definitely recommend the Seasonal Matcha flavors 1/2 sweet and their Matcha Soft Serve is very smooth and rich.

We had a lovely time at Matcha Cafe Maiko! The soft serve was delicious: creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. My grandma absolutely loved it, and we really enjoyed sitting in the café, chatting and relaxing together. I’ve tried Maiko at other locations and am used to a stronger matcha flavor, but this one had a more subtle taste, which my grandma preferred, so it was a win for her! The only downside was that the soft serve started seeping through the cone before we were done eating, which got a bit messy. Still, overall a sweet and enjoyable experience!

I have been tried Matcha Cafe Mail a couple of times, every experience is pretty nice. I tried soft service both matcha and hojicha flavor, very delicious! This time we tried a Dalgona Coffee flavor which is very nice, we chose to use Oatmilk, no sugar with a Yuzu Jam topping. The whole flavor is so balanced. Coffee foam is a little bit which gives a strong coffee taste, the matcha flavor is strong and dominant. Yuzu is a nice add on flavor too. The store is clean, service is quite nice too. The only thing is their price is kinda high, I’m not sure if I would like to pay more than $10 for a drink.

The soft serve parfait creations here are really creative and delicious, and the bubble waffle is fantastic all by itself. Our family of five enjoyed everything. The serving process, however, could be smoother. Instead of calling customers once the full order is ready, they call for each item separately, resulting in five trips back and forth from our table. Not a deal‑breaker, but refining the system would make the experience even better.

4 stars for Premium Matcha Café Maiko — hands down the best matcha I’ve had in San Diego. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — it’s matcha done right. Their banana pudding also slaps — creamy, flavorful, and dangerously easy to finish. I even order from them a lot on Uber Eats because it’s out of my way, but that’s how good it is. Service is friendly, and the vibe is chill — worth the trip (or the delivery fee) for a proper matcha fix.

The lady manager, mid age, has a horrible attitude, manners, desrespectful to people around her. I tried the drinks, it's just a cheap drink with high profit margin. Bad service, other employees were good except the lady manager. mid age, skinny. I just heard my friend disappointedly told me his story about this restaurant experience. I decided to share here . He was a instracart shopper delivered stuff to her restaurant. The instracart's policy says that shopper doesn't have to go inside the customer property. But this lady with her rudeness and disrespectful bossy attitude told my friend to bring all the stuff to the kitchen , instead of saying : please help me. She was bossy disrepected my friend. My friend drove 11 miles and had to carry almost 50 lbs of stuff to go inside the food court. Called , no answered. That's what he received from that lady. With the attitude of the managers like that becarefull with what they put in their drinks and sale it to you
