Absolutely love Sugar Cube Café! It’s tucked just outside Valley View Mall, and everything here is homemade, delicious, and beautifully presented. They offer amazing desserts, drinks (including boba teas), and custom pancakes, plus a variety of non-dessert meals that hit the spot. The owner and staff are super friendly and very accommodating. They also have tons of dietary options, vegan, keto, gluten-free, lactose-free, and dairy-free, and everything tastes incredible. This place truly has it all, comfort, creativity, and kindness. Highly recommend!

Place was amazing!!! Went in to look around left with a full belly. My friend got Kimchi fried rice and a milk shake. Portions were amazing! I got the mini pancakes they tasted amazing! Atmosphere was amazing the friendliest! They were kind and engaged with us! Local business highly recommend!! Even got a special treat for my pup!

Sugar Cube is an anime/video game/sugar addicts best friend. As a lover of all of the above myself, I felt right at home. We were greeted with a very friendly hello and welcome from the gentleman at the cash register. He happily showed us the menu and chatted with us about the store. They have a variety of drinks and snacks. Milk tea Fruit tea Coffee Coffee jelly Irish coffee Milkshakes Cupcakes Macaroons Ice cream Cookies Cakes And more that's not listed. If you have a sweet tooth this is the place to go for satisfy it. Dairy free, vegan, sugar free, keto friendly options available. 10/10 for cleanliness. We will definitely return. <3 I highly suggest the Tennessee Whiskey and Banana pudding cupcakes. If you're a macaroon fan please try the chocolate fudge macaroon. The only suggestion I have for the store is to tweek their tapioca ball recipe to make them a bit chewier.

Lovely place, great service, wonderful food. The owner was kind and generous! I was offered a sample of the kimchi and it’s the best i’ve ever had. The boba tea was wonderful. I have been looking for a place that uses tapioca squishy boba instead of the bursting kind! I was very pleased with the atmosphere and service. Will definitely be back to try more food!

Honestly so impressed with the quality of products at this place. From scratch boba, truly excellent macarons that are soft and technically dialed (macarons are very hard to nail, and they do!), honestly my favorite kimchi I’ve ever had - crisp, bright, not overly fermenty, well balanced, and entirely from scratch, and I tried some beef bulgogi that was pretty solid. The cupcakes look incredible, though I didn’t get to try them on my first trip. Sam was super friendly and a gracious host. This place is worth going to and taking your kids to.

Stopped by while in town for work and purchased 1 dozen cupcakes and 1 dozen macaroons to take home. Service was excellent, super friendly, and the flavors are perfect. Whoever puts the flavor profiles together are spot on. Usually when I buy macaroons I'm left wanting more, but Sugar Cube Cafés macaroons texture and flavors are perfect! Cupcakes were great also! Icing was perfect, not overly sickening sweet and not bland. When I'm in town again you will definitely have a customer. I'd rather spend my money on a handmade small business than a bland generic chain. Thank you for the tasty treats!

Visited here on our Roanoke vacation and received the BEST service and (somehow) even better food. My family and I love visiting anime themed cafes/restaurants and this was the best of both! They've got some great merch from some of our favorite shows, but the real star is the food. We got a half dozen cupcakes in a variety of flavors and every single one tasted amazing. Their cupcakes are so airy and light and the frosting is the perfect amount without being overly sweet 10/10. My personal favorite is the biscoff, but my husband loved their egg nog cupcake (they have so many seasonal flavors!!). I don't think you could go wrong with any of the options. We also had their desert drinks and got their chocolate and butter beer milkshakes were incredible!!! While we came for the dessert, they also gave a genuinely incredible savory menu, as well. The peppersteak was phenomenal and the side of kimchi was the perfect pop of spice. Its probably the best kimchi I've had in years. I know for sure that my husband's musibi was the best I've ever eaten. My stepmom got the KPop soup and said it was beyond perfect. Absolutely no misses on the whole menu. The owners were so sweet to talk to while we shopped and ate. They were so attentive and made sure everything we ate was perfect. You can tell how much love they put into their shop. Genuinely devastated that we don't live in Roanoke because this would be a staple for us. If you live here and haven't visited, you're missing out.
