• Good food, good prices • Cashless, order kiosks • Hot & fresh, cooked to order • Will recommend to others • Will be back again Stopped in around lunch time, slight after 12pm. Place was packed, but no wait to order at the kiosk. Shoutout to whomever had the Aux Cord, the playlist was on point. The kitchen staff had energy! Ordered the "Dirty Bird" chicken sando (no pickles, added bacon for extra $2) and Smashville hot fries (no pickles). Went in on the fries first, definitely get a lot for $7. They were hot & crispy, spiced perfectly and the spicy ranch put it over the top. They were hit! Order em with extra spicy ranch, trust me, the ranch is like that, not crazy OD hot at all!! I think I drooled a lil bit, idk lol the sandwich, that dirty bird, it did not do me dirty. First of all, the sandwich was huge (look at the pic, I have large hands lol). Secondly, you can't hide how fresh it was... from the chicken, to the hot sauce and blue cheese, to the lettuce and tomato. The bacon was too crispy for my liking, but it didn't kill the vibe. I'm definitely pulling up again to eat more of their lineup.
The food is 10/10, but the atmosphere really lacks. It almost seems like a restaurant made mostly for online orders. There is so much more they can do with the decor to make it feel welcoming. The gluten free breading is one of the best I’ve had; you would never know it was gluten free. The gf bun they offer is also very good. I highly recommend the smashville hot fries. Coleslaw was just okay, it is ranch based, so it takes on a different flavor than normal mayo based coleslaw.
Ate here with my friends for our one night in Richmond while we were checking out Ft. Lee and the area. It looks like a basic restaurant however their options are good. It’s fried chicken sandwiches and they do that very well. I got the Smokey Chick and a side of Mac and Cheese. The sandwich was phenomenal: tender, juicy, and very large even for me. The Mac and cheese was good, but not anything to die for in my opinion. I would come back and try out a different sandwich. This place is like a "fast casual" styled restaurant where you order on a kiosk and have the option to dine in or take out. If you’re walking around and in the mood for fried chicken that isn’t at a chain, this is definitely the place to go!
First, great fried chicken and it’s gluten free. It’s self serve and not bad. The gluten free hamburger buns really need a lot of work. I’ve eaten here several times and the buns just fall apart when you pickup the sandwich. The bad part about it is that they charge more for them. See picture.
Buttermilk and honey is the perfect place to go before a show at the national! The food is delicious and comes out quickly! I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was so flavorful and juicy! I’m so glad that they opened up a location after being at hatch local.
These were some seriously good chicken sandwiches! You order on a screen and have to pay by card. Now I know a lot of places are doing this, but I'm still a primarily a cash person. It's not a big deal, but I do prefer having a cash option. Anyway, on to the food! As I started with, these are some really delicious chicken sandwiches! I believe that everything was made from scratch. The people working there seemed friendly and helpful. In fact, one guy was singing! He was pretty good, too! The chicken was juicy, the outside crunchy. The sandwiches were a bit messy to eat, but that's how you know that they're good, right? 😁 It was a good spot for dinner, and I'm glad that we ate there.
Buttermilk and Honey is absolutely amazing. You can tell the food is always fresh, not frozen, homemade, and made with love. The chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches are to die for, with a nice thick but crispy fry. The moment you walk in, there is a warmth that matches the food. Every item on the menu feels like it was made with attention, care, and a sense of pride. The chicken has a perfect golden crunch that gives way to juicy, flavorful meat inside. It is seasoned to perfection and has that home-cooked comfort quality that is hard to find elsewhere. The tenders are thick, tender, and perfectly breaded. Each bite is consistent, with no dry patches or stringy meat, just pure fried excellence. Whether you dip them in one of their house sauces or eat them plain, they never disappoint. The breading has a satisfying texture and holds its crisp even after sitting for a few minutes. There is no sogginess, just the kind of crunch that makes you want more with every bite. Their chicken sandwiches are just as impressive. A soft, buttery bun holds a thick piece of crispy chicken that spills over the edges. The sandwich is not overloaded with toppings, but includes just enough to complement the chicken instead of covering it up. You can tell they have thought through every detail, from the crunch of the chicken to the softness of the bun and the brightness of the pickles or slaw. It is the kind of sandwich that stays in your mind long after you finish it. The fries are thick-cut and fried to a beautiful golden brown. They are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and lightly seasoned to bring out their flavor without overpowering the meal. They pair perfectly with the chicken and do not feel like an afterthought. These fries can stand on their own and are clearly made with the same level of care as everything else. What makes Buttermilk and Honey stand out is its consistency. Every visit is as good as the last. Whether you are grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for dinner, the quality remains high. You can taste the freshness in every bite, and that comes from using good ingredients and doing things the right way. Nothing tastes mass-produced or like it came from a microwave. There is a handcrafted feel to every plate that makes it something special. If you want great chicken that hits all the right notes, Buttermilk and Honey is the spot. The food is simple but thoughtful, comforting but clean, and always cooked with care. It is no surprise people keep coming back. They have mastered the basics with skill and pride.
