Cafe Moulin has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on over 1555 reviews on Google
Been there twice, once with a group of 5 friends and once 3. I rate the food as very good and I appreciated the authenticity of Turkish sausage. The service is not really any good tho. In both occasions they forgot someone’s coffee drink… one of us got a wrong drink. Water that is already at the table tastes funny. No one really comes to check on you to see if you need anything else. Not a huge deal as they are probably busy … I don’t know! But they do not provide a good service , while they provide a good food! Prices are okay. I find the $7 latte expensive tho . See picture for the drink size.
Very nice spot for breakfast or brunch. Everything seems to be super fresh and the food is just classy in a way. Good mix of sweet and savory options. I got to try their Barcelona French toast. This is one example of their great balance between sweet and savory. It has the sweetness from the berries and sweet preserve like sauce, but savory flavor from the cheese. To me, it seemed like it skewed toward having too much cheese. The interior cheese tasted a lot like butter, very fatty and soft. I'm not the biggest fan of butter so it wasn't my favorite, but it was obviously well made and the portion was pretty decent. All in all, I do recommend this spot, as the menu is quite diverse and the food is obviously high quality.
The crêpes are out of this world! Presented beautifully in the perfect portion. The cafe itself is cozy and inviting. This is a must try place right off of Walnut Street.
Excellent food and service! Food was up very quick and I thought the portion size is too little at first but realized I couldn't even finish eating the whole thing midway through.
Great brunch choice in Shadyside! Have been for 3 times. Strongly recommend Sofia and Alaska! The best two for savory crepes😍
Delicious! We went for savory but they have quite a selection of sweet crepes as well. Highly recommend the Sofia crepe and Chai latte! I hadn’t been here in quite a few years and now they’re upstairs in a very bright and airy space that has cool art on the walls. Great attentive service too without being intrusive. Definitely will be back, more crepes to try!
Café Moulin is a rustic-meets-modern French café nestled in Shadyside, offering a cozy yet vibrant spot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Their menu features a delicious variety of sweet and savory crêpes, French toast, salads, egg platters, and espresso drinks. During my visit, I had a beautifully crafted latte with the sweetest heart-shaped latte art—it was almost too pretty to drink! I ordered The Sofia from their egg platter section, which featured a Turkish sausage omelet topped with sautéed vegetables and rich hollandaise sauce, accompanied by a side of fresh fruit. It was fresh, decadent, and absolutely delightful. But the real showstopper was their Dubai Chocolate sweet crêpe. This indulgent treat combined pistachio cream, shredded filo dough, a generous drizzle of chocolate, and a side of non-dairy whipped cream. One bite and I was hooked—it was incredibly rich, flavorful, and impossible to put down. The space itself is quaint and charming, with both indoor and limited outdoor seating. Art decorates the walls, adding to the café's welcoming ambiance. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful when it came to navigating the tempting menu—it’s tough not to want one of everything! If you're in Shadyside and looking for authentic food and exceptional service in a warm, inviting atmosphere, Café Moulin is a must-visit.
