sky cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in philly! i recommend it to everyone and i always take new friends here. the service is excellent and the food is delicious. everything always tastes like it is made with love ❤️ i never get sick of the noodle soup N11 🤤
DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY OF THE REVIEWS THAT ARE LESS THAN FIVE STARS. this has become my new favorite place in philly. this family owned restaurant has everything you could need and more. my favorites on the menu are N11, N7/8, R23, and the fried rice dishes. the servers are so lovely and the food feels like it’s giving me a warm hug. would recommend to anyone who’s in philly <3
The food is really good and reasonable in price. We tried different things and everyone loved the food. We sat 8 people in the back, they did allow us to call in and set up a reservation for that many which is nice. Because most smaller places don't do seat holding.. The mango smoothie was really good and so was the fried chicken and coconut rice. I was to hungry and forgot to take photos of all the food, but I will say again everyone loved their food and everyone had something different from chicken, Fish and beef. I recommend this place.
First Indo restaurant I tried in Philly. Idk I just feel like it is not as good as the ones in NYC lol, but I'd come back if I want Indo food. For the rice, the beef rendang is well seasoned and not spicy. I like the combination with the deep fried potato sticks (I think), which adds a nice texture. The noodles is not that well-seasoned imo. The pork slices are too sweet, and the soup is too bland. The noodles for mi go reng is more like lo mein. It has chinese sausage, shrimp, and not a lot of veggie. The curry noodle soup is very coconut-y and a little spicy. I don't like the rice noodle that is used. The toppings have fried tofu, fish ball, tofu skin, potatoes, not really any 'meat'. Chicken satay is tender but too much sauce.
First time I have Indonesian food in restaurant .I give it a try . I don’t know what to order so the lady there recommended a few dish . So I choose the curry noodles . With fish ball , boil egg . Fish skin and dice potatoes. Comes with little bean sprouts. The soup like Masala types . Honestly. The egg is not fresh . But I ate it . Becaue you can tell the outside egg white was wrinkly Z meaning they keep in a very cold or frozen somewhere in the fridge. Other fried fish balls and tofu skin are taste like old oil .and only few dice of potatoes, that not even costs , It’s feel like home cooking meal to me not fancy . I paid $16 plus , tips , total $20 for small amount and low quality noodle soup .
visiting from miami, first time trying indonesian food, i was very satisfied!!! the flavors are unlike any other food I have tried ! and oooh spicy ❤️🔥
Came here with high expectations because people say it's the best Indonesian food. However, I've had better. Service was not very good. It wasn't super busy but the servers were more interested in being on their phones than serving people. It took a while to flag anyone down. They were also not particularly friendly or patient when we had a few questions about some of the dishes. Maybe it's because they are young or were having an off day but it soured our experience. Unfortunately the restaurant also had an unpleasant smell, like a dirty bathroom. The food itself was ultimately a let down. It was just okay but we expected more flavor and decent portions but were instead given an underwhelming noodle soup and a very small amount of noodles. For the price they are charging, we expected a little better. We will not be coming back.
