Original Khun Dang Thai Restaurant

WOW! This place is truly a gem in the San Fernando Valley. I highly recommend coming here with a large group and ordering tons of different plates to split amongst everyone family style. We seated a party of 12 easily in the back room and our waiter was on point with our orders and ensuring everyone got what they needed. The ambiance itself is pretty standard, nothing that screams fancy, but it doesn’t need anything on the walls when the true star of the place is the food. Every single dish I tried, and we ordered over a dozen, was extremely well done! Our plates came out one after the other, barely giving us enough time to divvy up the options amongst our party, and all of them were freshly prepared, steaming hot as they arrived. My favorites were the Seafood Soup, Duck Curry, and Mongolian Beef, but honestly you can’t go wrong here. *Delayed post from May ‘25

While visiting the area, our Thai friend took us to this restaurant, and thanks to her selection, we had amazing experience at the restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes, starting from soup, salad to main entrees, and everything was up to our expectations. I would definitely return to this establishment when we are in the Valley.

I have yet to experience a bad selection when it comes to their taste of food selections. Everything is done perfectly. Pork or beef jerky is my go to dish as a starter. #DoACarl

Amazing authentic food, very delicious!! Ordered through GrubHub as I was craving Thai food. Your restaurant is at the top of my list of Thai restaurants in the valley. If I can make a small suggestion for the Pad See U, please don’t over fry the tofu, it had a chewy texture. Overall, everything had flavor and it was enjoyed! I indeed want to come in person to eat there.

I placed a delivery order. I can't speak too much about the inside of the restaurant or parking. I order the paneng curry with chicken and a side of steamed rice. I request the spice level spicy. Let me say I was blown away by the flavor of the curry. The curry was made with care and attention. However, I felt my request for the spice level wasn't taken seriously. 100 percent I will order again. Next time I was emphasize I really want spicy. I am eager to try other dishes the have. I will make a comment on the portion size. I felt the price and size of the food didn't match. Portion size is a bit on the small side. But, I have a feeling if I were to sit in the restaurant, it'd be different.

As a first timer I got to say the green curry was delish ! It’s on the pricey side but at least it’s Delicious! I’m very happy if it was a few bucks less I would be more lol overall great experience . I will definitely recommend.
