Place was very cool, however there is not a ton of dining space. We went on a Friday night and the upper section was closed for a private event. Luckily we snagged a table because the line kept getting longer and longer for a table. I see why it was so busy, food was good and service was phenomenal despite being busy. Was a fun place for a date, and we will be back! I would avoid the tacos, lots of good food but these were a miss.
Masa Luna just crash-landed in Little Bohemia and brought the party with it. This isn’t your abuela’s tamale joint—it’s a flavor-forward fever dream with pierogies that flirt and cocktails that don’t play nice. Let’s talk food: the pierogies were buttery little pillows of joy, like someone wrapped comfort food in a love letter. The salsa with queso? A spicy, melty masterpiece that had us double-dipping with zero shame. Shrimp taco was so light and hit the spot as we were not starving on this first visit. Tamales? We didn’t even get to them yet and we were already emotionally invested. Now the drinks. Oh, the drinks. That espresso martini came in—bold, brash, and ready to ruin your sleep schedule. The daiquiri? Tropical, flirty, and deceptively strong. Not even close to classic. We were one sip away from calling an Uber and confessing our secrets to the bartender. The vibe? Think cozy meets cool. Masa Luna feels like your artsy friend’s living room—if that friend also moonlights as a mixologist and knows how to throw a dinner party with pierogies and tamales on the same plate. Final verdict: Come hungry, come thirsty, and maybe leave your car at home. Masa Luna is here to feed your soul and test your tolerance.
What a lovely and vibrant place! the vegan tamales and chicharron platter were a great contrast of flavors. We also really enjoyed the dipping sauces, the atmosphere, and quality of service. Also, the tamales ... The tamales felt like a warm hug, which matched the vibe from the employees. Can't wait to enjoy Masa Luna again with some buddies.
This is exactly what you would want for a casual place to have some food. Great drinks, great food and a real fun atmosphere. Everybody that worked there was super nice and we had a great meal and drinks. It’s brand new and you would expect there to be some bumps in the road, but there was none. The same group operates a couple of other restaurants that are always on the money and this place did not disappoint.
If your thinking of stopped, run don’t walk. Ben was our bartender and he is spectacular! Please make time to support local, wanted to add to my original post as this has become a regular stop for my wife and I , incredible team. Come see them !!!
The cutest place in little Bohemia! Haven’t met a dish I don’t like… everything from the chips and dips, tamales and tacos are fire. The vegan flan is one of the best things I’ve eaten- so indulgent!
Masa Luna is AMAZING. The inside is stunning with a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere. There is a really neat upstairs area/bar and the main level is booths and tables with super cute decor all over!! The food was all so delicious! I had the chips and queso, vegetarian tamales, and the ice cream sandwich and it was all 10/10!!!!! I cannot wait to come back to this place and I could not recommend it more:)
