Best place for Indian dishes in the area. Now I am almost regular customer. Malai kofta is my favorite. Although every dish I have tried here is just great. I highly recommend this place. The ambience is great. One can visit this place with family, friends and colleagues. The service is also excellent.

We absolutely love this place! We eat here every week and can’t get enough of it, the food is fresh and delicious, the service is excellent and it’s so cozy and welcoming. Each visit is a treat and we leave stuffed with tons of leftovers and the best part is my spouse gets great vegan dishes and I get the tandoori chicken and we’re both happy!

We have lived in the area for a little over a year now and finally tried Aago. My wife and I both agree that we should have dined here much sooner. Our lunch was excellent! I had the Lentil soup and Vegetable Jalfrezi. Off the charts. My wife had one of her favorites Chicken Korma which she also loved. We shared Peshwari Naan, and it too was very good. She had the Chai Tea. Our only regret was we wanted to have Rice Pudding for dessert, but we were just too full to order it. Maybe next time. We highly recommend Aago.

Went for quick lunch from work. Ordered chicken steamed momo and jhol momo. Took quite a while to serve the food. But gave us complimentary chips n sauce to pass the time which was great. Momo quantity n size was great but jhol of the jhol momo was just ice cold which felt strange. Server was nowhere to be found, the place was basically empty at that time of the day. Forgot to serve us water too. We asked for it at the end. Heard good reviews of this place but not satisfied with the food n service. Maybe try something else another time

Loved our meal here at Aago tonight! We are trying every Indian restaurant in the area, and each has its special qualities. The food was absolutely fantastic, with a huge variety and selection of dishes including some specialties we had never seen before, like the cashew (Kaju) curry and some Goan dishes prepared with coconut. We ordered the paneer tikka masala and the malai kofta - both outstanding vegetarian entrees - as well as the veggie pakoras and garlic cheese naan. Everything was delicious, including the achar (hot mixed pickle). They offer a combination dinner for two which we didn't choose because we weren't incredibly interested in the soup and dessert, but it was a good value anyway and we might try it next time! We got ours 3 out of 5 spicy and loved the heat and flavor but both agreed we might try 4 next time! Excellent service despite a pretty full house on Saturday night. A veritable army of bus staff kept the turnaround efficient from what we could see, and the food would be worth a wait anyway. Our host was really helpful and friendly, we enjoyed our time there and the family friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be going back to try some other vegetarian delights soon!

We were in town for a show and needed a nicer dinner. This restaurant was an easy across-the-street from the campus/town's arts venue. Inside the lights were just the right amount of dim. Sound was maybe a little loud, but we also were near a large table of loud folks. What I really appreciated is that our server checked to see if we were attending a show, in case we had a deadline to be done with dinner. That kind of professional empathy and awareness is rare these days. Our food was absolutely delicious. My wife had the lamb korma. I had the chicken methi. We both had to make ourselves stop, and were sad that we couldn't take home the leftover sauce. The cheesy naan was a wonderful twist that I've not seen at other Indian restaurants. I wish that I could have tried their momo dumplings, too. If we come back to Newport News for other shows, we'll be eating at Aago again

My sister and I dined here for dinner and it was an amazing night. This has been a go to spot for us for the longest, however tonight was different and our server Deepak made our night. The food is ALWAYS good and usually we order the same items, but because my sister had an assignment based on culture, we did something different and asked Deepak to create our order for us and he was more than willing to share the dishes that he enjoyed and taught us lots of new things about Nepal and the dishes. Highly recommend Aago and the service tonight was amazing, thank you Deepak!
