The Wren

I cannot rave about this hotel enough. My husband and I rarely travel without our dog and this is by far one of the most dog-friendly hotels we’ve ever stayed at. They made sure he had a dog bowl, a ball, treats and doggie bags. The entire staff, and I mean entire staff, was warm, beyond helpful, understanding, and just fun to talk to. Usually when you have a younger staff the service is more often than not subpar, but these young men and women were the opposite. We stayed in a corner room and we loved the extra space. The extra space and windows made the space just perfect. I always love having a toilet area that you can close off from the rest of the bathroom. The automatic doors make it so much easier when I’m juggling a dog, purse, room key, etc. I would stay at this hotel again just for the automatic doors that actually work well. The downstairs coffee shop and centralized location to other restaurants and shopping make this an ideal place to stay if you want or need to walk. We will be back again soon! Thanks y’all!

The hotel was perfect! The location was great and the hotel was super clean. The hotel was super affordable! The staff went above and beyond for not only me but my two dogs. I felt very safe here being a solo female traveler. I loved how the room was decorated and how they gave me a welcome gift for my girls (dogs). This hotel is one of the best pet friendly hotels I have stayed at. I really enjoyed having breakfast at basecamp which is right next door. One of my dogs was recently attacked by another dog in November of this year so she is extremely timid and afraid of people and other dogs but the staff went above and beyond to greet her and take their time with her, that meant the absolute world to me. The Wren was a quiet and lovely hotel. The standout feature was how exceptionally clean everything was - you could tell the housekeeping staff takes real pride in their work. While the rooms are compact, they're thoughtfully designed and quite nice, making excellent use of the space.||The shower had excellent water pressure and temperature control, which isn't always a given at hotels. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Missoula with easy walking access to shops and restaurants. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful.||The only disappointment was the bedding. I had called ahead specifically to confirm they didn't use polyester/microfiber sheets, but unfortunately once we had checked in and settled in for the night realized that they do. It's a common issue in hotels since they are faster and easier to wash. The sheets feel cold initially but leave you sweaty, and the pillowcases can be a bit rough on your face. It was a bummer after heading to the Wren specifically to get a comfortable nights sleep.||That said, if synthetic bedding isn't a dealbreaker for you, I would 100% recommend The Wren. It's a well-run, beautifully maintained property in a perfect location.

Our stay at The Wren was amazing! The staff was excellent. Friendly, well trained and knowledgeable. I can’t remember the last time we were treated so well at a hotel. They went above and beyond for us as we were celebrating an anniversary. The facility itself is fun and charming. It was clean and well maintained. We will definitely be returning and it made us want to try The Wrens sister hotels. Well done everyone! Thanks again!

We have stayed in this hotel three times and always enjoy it. Comfortable rooms, super friendly staff, very clean, close to great bars and restaurants downtown. Also dog friendly! Walkable to university.

My fiancée and I (and our chinchilla!) stayed here on our road trip from Pennsylvania to see family back to our home state of Oregon after the holidays. The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. The room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable and the shower was wonderful. This was by far the best stay out of the three times I’ve visited Missoula, and I will be certainly staying here when I visit again! 10/10 🙂

If you like cool, funky hotels with minimalist design, this place is for you. Touchless entry, free morning coffee and friendly staff made us feel welcomed. The person who checked us in was also so fast, we booked on Booking.com but it took about 45 seconds to get our room key. Our room did not have a refrigerator but we were provided one upon request no problem. Also included is access to a large, clean gym with lots of equipment and a steam room/sauna only a few blocks away that opens at 5am most days. We used on street parking but they also have a valet for $20. If you like normal run of the mill hotels, maybe stay at the Marriott next door. We would stay here again.
