Just stopped by this new place in Mission Viejo and by far the best croissants I have ever had. Love lemon meringue and the lemon meringue croissant did not disappoint. Super flaky on the outside and soft on the inside filled with the delicious lemon meringue filling. The raspberry almond croissant had an equally amazing flaky crust with a filling you must try for yourself. And if you like cookies you are in for a treat. They have unique flavors and their soft cookies have a very unique crunch in the topping they use on their cookies. Everything is made fresh in the store, including the hand crafted esspresso and matcha drinks. So it may take a bit to get your items but worth the wait. I don't believe they've had their actual grand opening yet so pastries are selling out. Get there earlier if you can. Enjoy!
Conveniently located off the 5 and next to my go-to grocery store, Ralphs. Got me 4 croissants and the raspberry almond is my favorite. It paired perfectly with my chia seed/greek yogurt. Love the modern interior design & their open-concept kitchen. Spoke briefly with the owner, and learned about his deep passion for creating yummy food. Also, his work experiences include being an architecture for Starbucks. I can't wait to try out more of their delicious creativity in the years to come!
brought to my attention by the instagram algorithm, ocho lab is an aesthetically pleasing little bakery and cafe that sells mostly croissants and cookies, along with a small (for now) drink menu. the pastries are very beautiful looking, and the prices are pretty standard for artisan croissants and cookies. i tried the raspberry almond croissant ($7) and their valentine's day drink, the cloud nine ($8), which was a lychee coconut water drink topped with rose cold foam and dried rose petals. both were sweet and delicious, i think the fruity floral flavors in the drink worked really well together. i wish i had a larger appetite to have more pastries, but i'll definitely be back to try the savory croissant. interior is quite limited in seating with only 3 small tables and 6 chairs total; there seem to be no wifi or outlets, so it's not much of a study or work space. the blonde barista girl (drinks recipe developer) was very attentive and open to feedback on the drinks, and even made me a little sample matcha drink on the side, and the woman i assume was the manager also let me behind the counter to take better pictures of the pastry case 🙂 overall a pleasant experience despite not really being suited for staying long periods/studying
Newly opened coffee, beverages & patisserie shop that uses natural, high-quality ingredients. Our first visit was a delight. The cookies, tiramisu and mocha were all delicious. Currently undergoing minor renovations to add additional beverage and baked goods.
It’s a nice ‘cafe like’ place. It used to be Cookie Co. but now it’s a nice pastry place. Would recommend as a nice, relaxing place to chill next to Ralph’s
Wanted to try out this place since it’s new. Now, i’m not a coffee drinker, so i was glad when the nice barista Joy, suggested other options as well. I came in during their valentines specials time and got recommended the Cloud 9, which is like a coconut water and lychee refresher. It was smooth and sweet and nice. I also got the double chocolate praline cookie. Being a chocolate lover, i was in heaven with every bite i took (as you can see by the bites i took before i took a picture lol). Overall a great experience, i’ll make sure to drop by again if I’m near the area.
I visited here on a whim while in the area and wow, it’s such a cute little cafe! It is rather small, but very clean and organized. I had a latte and tiramisu. The tiramisu was AMAZING! And that is coming from a self-admitted dessert snob. The size is very generous compared to other cafes and the flavor was mind blowing. My latte was quite strong for my liking, but fine tasting. They also gave great service and one of the chefs even struck up a conversation with me for a bit. I would 100% recommend coming here, especially for their desserts!
