The Landing Rooftop

Amazing place located on the roof of The Melby Hotel. Such an amazing space with different kinds of seats and areas to sit and enjoy a drink, food or just hang out and relax. Was there for brunch and enjoyed the French toast and one of the Eggs Benedict options. The service, food and atmosphere are great. I would highly recommend this place for a nice breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner.

Picked Hotel Melby without looking too deeply into the food options. When I say The Landing really exceeded my expectations. The rooftop views. The portions and food selection were great. It’s easy to start the day at Landing then venture out. Or vice versa, start out and venture in. I tried the mussels, burger, and wings (on all diff days). Enjoyed the lounge for Sunday football. The music was nice and chill. And above all, the service. Ask for Stephanie R.!! She’s attentive, her timing top-notch, and her menu recommendations were all my faves. Friendly service plus really good food. If you’re in Melbourne, the Landing is a MUST!

The Landing Rooftop is such a gem with the most spectacular scenery, the servers there are very friendly. I had no idea you could lounge too (being that I lived in Mebourne for awhile), I will definitely be here often to organize Bible studies and hangout! I would recommend visiting for breakfast/brunch before 3 p.m. The dinner favorites of mine is the burrata cremosa, tuna poke, truffle sidewinder fries, and the flatbread meat pizza 🙂 ♡

My friend and I came for dinner. Our server, Stephanie was beyond amazing. Upselling the menu and really helping us decide on what entree would be best. She even help us find the perfect mixed drink for my friend! 10/10 experience thanks to our server!

Food was on par with much cheaper alternatives, the waitress serving us was very nice but said the catch of the day was Swordfish, a different waiter was saying it was Mahimahi, we never got it clarified which it was. When the check was delivered we weren’t given a pen and had to ask. When being seated the host seemed to imply that I was dating my father. I did not find this pleasant and was mildly offended, also should staff be saying anything if they aren’t 100%…? Between receiving our drinks and our meals an extremely fishy smell overwhelmed my father and I, we were seated no where near the kitchen and even if we were fish should not be smelling like that unless its slimy and old. (We didn’t receive our food till nearly half an hour after we smelt this and about 45 minutes after getting our drinks. We did not order an appetizer) Restaurant was extremely loud as everyone was trying to talk over the already loud music, this volume was achieved with only 3 occupied tables near ours I was disappointed to take my father here for his birthday and recommend anyone worth themselves to eat elsewhere, there are much better upper-class restaurants in the area, trust me. Steak was served with Broccoli, Tomato, and essentially Publix potato wedges. (I ordered it Medium) $40 "Catch of the day" (unsure what type of fish, either Swordfish or Mahimahi i hope) served with Spanish rice, Broccoli and Carrots (Market Price:) $42 Please do not eat here. I’m fairly sure even Outback and Texas Roadhouse are better by a mile.

Beautiful ambience, calming and comfortable. Stephanie was our server, so kind and welcoming. We loved and will definitely be back!!

The atmosphere and staff at Landing Rooftop are fantastic! We’ve been a few times now and will definitely keep coming back. The crab cakes, tuna poke, and goat cheese beet salad were absolutely spot on—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The grouper may have needed just a touch more cooking, but the orzo it was served on was fantastic and full of flavor. Great experience all around!
