This coffee shop is truly a hidden gem and easily one of the best spots around. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff who clearly care about the customer experience. The coffee is excellent—fresh, smooth, and perfectly made every time. What really stands out is their amazing selection of sweets. There is a wide variety, all beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Everything tastes fresh and high quality, making it hard to choose just one treat. Another highlight is the menu featuring Haitian-inspired items. It’s refreshing to see authentic Haitian flavors represented so well. The dishes are flavorful, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared, adding a unique cultural touch that you don’t often find in a coffee shop. Overall, this place delivers on every level: great coffee, delicious desserts, cultural authenticity, and a welcoming vibe. I will definitely be coming back again and again, and I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a quality café with outstanding sweets and a unique Haitian influence.
Grep Kafe provided us patties for appetizers and a variety of desserts for our wedding. They were very easy to communicate with. We ordered beef and codfish patties for part of our apps, both of which everyone loved. For dessert, they helped us arrange a tasting table-- the dous makos and mini rum cakes went so fast we didn't even get to try some! Our guests loved everything. They also made a gorgeous cutting cake for us which was above and beyond what we were expecting! We highly recommend them and everything was very affordable for a catering order.
Very disappointed in quality. I got food poisoning and never received a refund for my pre ordered soup Joumou. Walking in the ambiance is nice, the uncovered food should have been an indication to me to leave but as a true supporter of Haitian culture I looked past that, that was my biggest mistake. I spent the whole new years in between bed and restroom. I ordered a Lalo and fresh meat was added to old cooked meat and mixed to serve. The sos pwa was not strained properly was very grainy. I also ordered side of Mac and cheese and regret setting in after the first bite, the cheese had curdled and there was a lack of flavor throughout, this all seemed like a rushed attempt at serving semi authentic Haitian food. The desserts were overly sweet or tasted like paste. I ordered the banana pudding and there was no pudding it was just cookies and frosting with chopped bananas. Red velvet brownie had little to no sweetness. The brownie tasted like straight flour and the cream cheese frosting has also grainy and lack luster. The passion fruit juice was the only saving grace and again so sweet I had to water it down myself. I gave it several days to hear back from a manager and lack of communication and my wellbeing was disappointing. I spent almost $100 combined in both the bakery and restaurant and was throughly disappointed with everything. I also purchased the special 2 for 11$ pate kode that was filled with sour cabbage and bones. With such high reviews I expected better. I hope you take this a warning if something doesn’t look right or taste right don’t consume. To be visiting in the area during the holidays and hoping to taste home and this was my experience is so heartbreaking. My only request was a refund for my pre ordered soup joumou and I didn’t even get that. Eat at your own risk.
Delicious beef patty! A million times better than the frozen store kind. I also got the Akassan drink which tastes like warm banana pudding and I highly recommend.
I visited on Haitian flag day and thank the male cashier for serving me as they were closing. As an out of town guests, giving me the extra minutes to make my purchase as they close was considerate. I ordered beef and chicken patties which were flaky and stuff with flavor as I like it. The banana bread was moist. The chocolate cake was okay. The cashew tablet was good!
This was my first time here and I was honestly so impressed. Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell they put care into the food and the overall experience. I will definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t already!
I couldn't be happier with the cupcakes from Grep Kafe! They were absolutely delicious, with the perfect combination of soft, moist dough and just the right amount of sweetness. We ordered vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet for my kid's birthday party, and they were a huge hit with both the kids and the parents, who kept asking where we got them from. After a disappointing experience with cupcakes from another place last year, I’m so glad I chose Grep Kafe this time. Plus, the cafe itself is a cute spot, and the owners are incredibly friendly.
