Came here for a breakfast date with my husband. Seating was easy. There are options of sitting inside or covered outside area. We sat outside. The weather was kinda cold but at the seating area it was nice and warm. The servers were really nice and attentive. The food was delicious and a really good amount. Definitely recommend!

If you're on the hunt for one of the best breakfast spots around, Avenue Grill should be at the top of your list. This place consistently serves up hearty, satisfying dishes that hit all the right notes—especially if you're a fan of classic American breakfasts with a twist. Let’s start with the Potato Platter, which honestly might be one of the most crave-worthy breakfast plates you’ll find anywhere. It’s a generous helping of crispy country-style potatoes mixed with grilled ham, smoky bacon, bell peppers, and onions—all topped off with a layer of melted cheese. It’s everything you want in a breakfast dish: savory, cheesy, filling, and just enough crisp on the potatoes to keep you coming back. Another standout is the Chicken Fried Chicken—perfectly fried, juicy, and paired with a savory country gravy that brings the whole thing together. It’s comfort food done right, and they clearly know what they’re doing with their gravy here. Surprisingly, even the Carnitas Quesadilla holds its own. Now, I wouldn’t normally order a quesadilla at a breakfast place like this, but I’ve tried it, and it’s genuinely good—tender carnitas with just the right amount of seasoning and gooey cheese in every bite. If you're in the mood to mix things up, it won’t disappoint. The Poorman’s Benedict is another favorite—it’s a creative and delicious take on the traditional benedict. A fluffy biscuit and rich gravy serve as the base, stuffed with a sausage patty, a perfectly cooked egg, and a handful of those signature country-style potatoes. It’s messy in the best way possible and absolutely delicious. They also serve some of the best pancakes I’ve had—thick, fluffy, and golden. The only knock? They serve them with syrup that contains corn syrup rather than real maple syrup. It’s a small letdown in an otherwise great dish, and I really wish they’d offer a pure maple option. The coffee is solid too—bold, hot, and just what you need to round out a great breakfast. It's nothing fancy or artisanal, but it's good, and it keeps coming, which is all I ask for in a breakfast joint. Be warned: weekends get busy. It’s a local favorite, and word has definitely gotten out, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the staff is efficient and the kitchen moves fast, so even when it’s packed, things turn over quickly. Overall, Avenue Grill delivers on every level when it comes to breakfast—huge portions, tons of flavor, and a menu that offers comfort food classics with enough variety to keep it interesting. Just come hungry and bring your own maple syrup.

A few months ago I was driving through Lodi with a few others. They were hollering that they were hungry and wanted to stop for breakfast. But they insisted on no chain restaurants or fast food. So we googled and found Avenue Grill. So glad we dined here. The food was traditional classic American fare served up by the nicest staff (which was ethnically diverse). The vibe is welcoming. I noticed that the staff knew a lot of the regular folks (also ethnically diverse) by name. They serve up breakfast and lunch. They are known for their signature giant flapjack. $5.99. But none of us ordered. Next time for sure. Anyways, I got with eggs and bacon breakfast. Simple and prepared right. Luved it. Prices weren’t bad. The menu options were plentiful. The place is on the smallish side. They have tables and a counter. When the dining room is full, it’s cozy cramped. The noise level can get loud.

Whenever my husband and I go looking for breakfast places, we have to find something for me and something for him. I prefer a more bougie breakfast, and he prefers a country breakfast. I had a spinach and feta cheese omelette which was absolutely delicious. Lots of feta in it, lots of spinach, and I requested mushrooms. The mushrooms were fresh, not from a can. The breakfast potatoes were awesome. He loved his food: pancakes, biscuits/gravy, eggs, and bacon. Staff was great. Large portions. Sourdough toast had lots of real butter on it. 💖

A local recommended this to us as we were passing through. We had a small 6x10ft trailer in tow so we asked for a recommendation for a restaurant nearby that could accommodate our"rig". Parking wasn't as accommodating as we hoped since the nearby stores were quite busy, but thankfully we found a place to squeeze in. We ordered lunch, but watched as the enormous great looking plates of breakfast food were delivered to nearby tables. We tried the grilled chicken sandwich & the little burger. Chicken sandwich was good. The burger was very heavy on bun. The highlight for us was the fries. They were absolutely wonderful as was the attentive service!!!

Staying here in Lodi for a meeting the next morning at Mcdonald Island. Early meeting, very early bfast. Found The Avenue Grill here in lodi that opened early. Arrived as they were opening the doors, and it was like they were waiting for me to arrive. Service was excellent, my favorite creamer, breakfast was very good. My new bfast place here in lodi.

Staff is very friendly, served me fast and always checked on me to refill my coffee without having to ask. The portions of food they give for your money is amazing as well. The food was really good too! I'm definitely bringing my family with me next time, I know they love a great atmospheric restaurant.
